Whatever its smashing finale, the Election of 2008 has been a cliffhanger reality show from start to finish, involving a cast of supersize characters and events that have been alternately compelling, astonishing and unforgettable.
From Joe the Plumber's debut to Sen. Joe Biden's mouth, from Gov. Sarah Palin's "palling around with terrorists" charge to Barack Obama's preacher, the highlights and lowlights of the presidential contest that ends on Tuesday have - thanks mostly to YouTube and cable TV - been seared into voters' brains.
"Tina Fey," says Simon Rosenberg, president of NDN, a Democratic advocacy group, when asked to name some of the more high-impact figures and events of the 2008 general election.
The memorable performance by the comedian - a star of "Saturday Night Live" and Emmy-winning creator of "30 Rock" - in an uncanny recreation of the Alaska governor "gave everyone permission to start saying that they were feeling uncomfortable with Sarah Palin," Rosenberg said. "It broke out into popular culture. Tina's 'I can see Russia from my house,' " he says, was instrumental in defining Palin and the McCain-Palin ticket.
On the Republican side, Joe the Plumber - a.k.a. Samuel Wurzelbacher - was the unexpected Ohio everyman who emerged at an Obama campaign walk to ask a question, and get a candidate's answer, that ended up seen by millions.
"It took a working stiff plumber from Ohio to crystallize the message" that Obama's tax plan threatened to hurt small businesspeople, said GOP strategist Patrick Dorinson. You had a lot of high-paid consultants and Washingtonians who couldn't figure it out."
It all turned "Joe" into an icon of the GOP campaign - mentioned by John McCain 21 times in the third presidential debate. And some polls show that "Joe" has helped McCain in the final weeks,...

Between NOW and election day, convince at least two Obama/Undecided voters to vote for McCain. Further, convince these two people (or two others) to take up the same challenge. (Like a chain letter)
So you have converted people in the past? Good, but we need more!
Many Obama supporters are mindlessly supporting him, with no real reason, this means it is VERY easy to get them to switch over. Even if you fail, other Obama/undecideds may be in the room and hear valid arguments and question their faith in the One.
Do your part...your country depends on it!
