Handicapped Man in GA has Vote Stolen
RWNJ ^ | Nov 1, 2008 | RWNJ

Posted on 11/01/2008 12:27:01 PM PDT by rwnj.org

This story is out of Albany, Georgia. A handicapped man claims that he was escorted to the polls, without his family’s notification or permission. Jack Justice attends the Adult Day Rehab Program of Primus Industries, and was taken to the polls. The person assisting Justice would not cast the ballot for McCain, Justice’s choice for President. Instead, Justice claims that his vote was cast against his wishes for Obama.

My brother is blind and he INSISTED on going to vote by himself yesterday, rather than letting one of us take him (as we usually do). He said the poll worker helping him was very nice. I only hope and pray she was honest in marking his ballot, too.

One poll worker? I think that would be against the election laws in Ohio. You have to have two to aid anyone that needs help voting (which did lead to the little bit of fun with the brawl between the 75 and 73 year old election workers when the Dem one wouldn't let the Republican see the ballot and jumped on him when he tried to grab the it).

This just makes me sick to my stomach. I would feel the same way if the vote was opposite. Whoever did that needs to be prosecuted to the fullest.

Oh know!!! That possibly did not go well. If you are front Texas it might not matter much...thankfully, but if this happens in swing states that is bad.

Is your brother stubbornly independant or a closet Dem.

Our county clerk called us to ask if we our ballots were filled out by us.

My signature appeared different and my sons mark was different (he has severe Cerebral Palsy and was VERY excited about voting (uh hum another man whose heart was captured by Sarah).

Now if you know anything about a quadroplegic with Cerebral Paly you will understand why his mark changes (kinda like an elephant painting with his trunk:) )

But the upside was it showed that there is honesty in the clerks office.

Taking advantage of the aged, the handicapped is the pits too. So this is important!

We had a State funded day work place for the developmentally disabled (physically) here (this was a few years ago)

The workers told the clients they would all get a raise if they voted Dem.

The Dad of one of the clients exposed them (made it to the news even) and he himself was a Democrat.

God rest his soul. We used to sit next to him and his wife at the rodeo so he told me personally that he was a D oh and there was no raise that is how he found out his daughter complained to him that she did not recieve her raise for voting Dem.

I’ve seen a couple of similar stories. Sadly, the main response has been people commenting about how McCain’s supporters are mentally handicapped.

If he had more than one poll worker helping him, he didn’t mention it. I’m assuming it was just the one lady. I really do trust, though, that she marked his ballot accurately. Thankfully, we are indeed in Texas, in a military town, so I certainly don’t think his one ballot would swing things for Obama, if the lady did turn out to mark it falsely. I’m not worried about it. It’s a fairly tight knit town where our late dad was a well-known District Attorney and, at the time of his death last year, County Judge (Republican, of course!). I think enough of the ladies working the polls yesterday would have recognized my brother and looked out for him.

I sure feel sorry for the guy in this article, though, and the countless others like him out there. Denying someone his right to vote is absolutely vile and it should be dealt with severely.

If I see someone doing that for either party, they might be the next one in a wheelchair!

If you'd ever met my brother for even ONE second, you'd understand why I laughed out loud at your post!! :o) He is as pigheaded as they come, and absolutely NOT a closet Democrat!!!! Oh my gosh, you never want to get him started on one of his rants about Dems. Not that you have to "get him started"--he's "All Rant, All the Time" when it comes to Democrats, especially during campaign seasons (and this has been a looooong one!). There's no shutting him up. No, he took himself to the polling place because no one could hop around and take him to vote on HIS schedule, so he had to prove to us all that he could do it on his own. Fair enough. He did it.

I'm so glad to hear that your son got to vote, even if his signature raised a red flag. And like you said, it's at least nice to know that your county clerk's office is on top of things. I totally understand about the changing signature. My brother's handwriting has become increasingly difficult to decipher over the years since he lost his sight. It's pretty much illegible now, but at least it got the job done at the polls!

Give that son of yours a hug from Total Stranger TXBlair in Texas next time you see him. He sounds like a great guy!! My best to you both!

That’s nothing. Here in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, PA, the Demonrats bring busloads of mentally-disabled people from the County to vote. They are so thoughtful they even go with them into the voting booth to ‘help’ them make their selection. For years I asked the morons at the ‘sign-in’ to ask me for ID and to compare my signature, and check and see if I had perhaps already voted. Just looked at me like I was from some other planet. I always bring my United States of America passport as ID. They just laugh. It’s no wonder the DemonRats have so little trouble with voting fraud.

Will do as I am going to sign off here in a few minutes so I can get him into his WC as he is going out socially tonight and will be packing his Sarah! and Vote Pro life stickers with him.

WC and himself is a rolling McCain/Palin ad campaign.

He just beems with Pride when he is able to give out his McCain/Palin stickers.

Seeing him so proud to help the GOP ticket makes me a very happy Mom. I cant buy that kind of happiness.
