I agree...this just says these people were nominated. Says nothing about being eligible. When I sent out my dozen requests to various agencies within my state (Florida). my state of birth (Alabama) and Washington DC...I couldn’t even find out what is the authorizing agency that oversees qualifications for the offices of President and Vice President. This is something that needs to be changed before the next elections. It is an absurdity that needs to end! We only have two items of eligibility...age and natural born citizen...and we don’t even require proof of either which could be done with a simple live birth certificate. We waste our time on finding out if someone is wealthier than we are, etc etc...but not if they are eligible under the Constitution (as it now stands).

Our states are in charge of elections. I just feel we need to move on getting it corrected now, before the next election. Please, please, pass the idea along of legislative change.

Remember what Senator McCain is reminding us “We are Americans. We don’t give up. We fight for what is right.”

Lets do what we can. He cannot carry all of this on his own. We are ALL Americans and must carry our weight as responsible citizens to hold our states accountable.

No time for whining, lets get out there and FIGHT!

Folks, how in hell can someone be nominated for president and NOT ever have shown his proof of citizenship? I don’t get it . forgive me but isn’t there some sort of law that requires one to PROVE where they were born before they are put in that position. Forgive my ignorance but I always just assumed that
a birth certificate was a given in these circumstances.

I think it is the Secretary of State in each state.
