Depth was reported at 35 miles.
Way too deep for a nuclear test.-F15Eagle
I had seen reports where the depth was closer to 20 miles, but either way your point about it being way too deep is correct.

True, but the article talks about the nuclear test “triggering” the earthquake, not that the test was an earthquake. I certainly hope it’s not true.

A 39.36 Rumble was felt in Lubbock. The Teches evaluated the situation and put Texas in a HOLE.
Tech climbs to no #2 and Texas falls to 6th!

why don’t we drop one on them and see if we get the same results. If so, then we can clearly say they were testing a bomb! :P

If every Iranian earthquake is a nuclear test, they must have one hell of an arsenal; they’ve had 119 reported quakes in the last month.

I’m certain if they were planning a nuclear test, they’d wait until Wednesday.

The USGS website has the epicenter at 26.533°N, 54.985°E which puts it out in the Persian Gulf waters and 18 miles deep.

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. USGS site makes it pretty clear that this wasn’t a nuke test - it was located on the shore of the Persian gulf for mercy sake.

I've heard that earthquakes and nuclear bombs are easy to tell apart with a seismograph.
Earthquakes gradually build up: rumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumblerumble
Nuclear bombs don't build up

Im sure Pooty-Poot is ready to use Iran as his proxy to achieve certain goals. Certainly not the least of which, reducing or eliminating American influence in the Middle East.
Like a strait of Hormuz incident to test a new President?

Probably not. But too bad...if it was, it would be worth 5 points to John McCain. Imagine Bush coming to the press room today with an announcement that Iran has just gone nuclear.
