"USA Today ran an article Tuesday stating that Dan Cooper, chief executive of Cooper Arms in Montana, donated $3,300 to Barack Obama's presidential campaign and had donated to his 2004 Senate campaign after being "dazzled by Obama's speech at that year's Democratic National Convention."

"Cooper, founder and part owner of Cooper Firearms, told USA TODAY in a story published Tuesday that he has voted for Republicans for most of his life, but he is backing Obama "probably because of the war. And also because the Republican Party has moved so far right in recent years." Cooper said he was attracted to the Democrat's message about "the retooling of America, which involves the building of middle-class jobs and helping American small business be competitive with those overseas."

OK. Am I missing something here? I have heard barry obama speak, and I can't see what's so 'dazzling' about him. I don't think he is such an eloquent speaker - just the opposite, in fact! Maybe I'm immune to his 'charms'? Why do fools like this Cooper guy fall for Obama-the-used-car-salesman. (My apologies to used-car salesmen everywhere!)

Thanks. Wish the titles wouldn’t get changed so radically.

This fool thinks the GOP has moved "...far to the right in recent years."?

Quit sniffing the gunstock varnish, Dan.

What fricking planet has this guy been living on? “The Republican Party has moved so far right”? Is he referring to a period about 20 years ago when Reagan was in office. I think he has been Rip Van Winkle and been asleep for 20 years. What an idiot!

“..the Republican Party has moved so far right in recent years.”

If only. That’s why the GOP candidate is a RINO. Please.

“Dan Cooper hunts at Arkansas’ White River refuge.”

Maybe he thinks HE will still be allowed to hunt.

I bet the treehuggers in an Obambi administration will think differently.

Wait until that nice scoped piece gets “reclassified” as a “sniper rifle” and banned.
