I believe we have found ourselves a dude, of dudes. :)

Probably when she decides the marriage bores her, she needs to discover herself... something along the “it’s all about me” approach.

Gee, he canvassed a housing project and found out the people who are already getting a handout favor the candidate that promise them more of a handout, not a hand up. Go figure :)

That clown deserves his wife.

I have no respect for $ussy whipped men. I think most of us women don’t.

Yeah, and that is why you are respected.

wife suggested we spend a Saturday morning canvassing for Obama. I have never canvassed for any candidate. But I did, of course, what most middle-aged married men do: what I was told.

WHAT A WIMP!!! My wife is free to vote for whoever she chooses but if she were ever to make such a suggestion to me I can gauran damn tee that I wouldn't be joining her and she would NEVER ask me again.

It's not about taxes. I'm pretty sure mine are going to go up no matter who is elected.

It's not about foreign policy. I think we'll figure out a way to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan no matter which party controls the White House, mostly because the people who live there don't want us there anymore.

“I've learned that this election is about the heart of America. It's about the young people who are losing hope and the old people who have been forgotten.”

Young people have been short changed by Democrats for 40 years through pandering to teachers unions and the deliberate dumbing down of the education system. Those young people that do work hard and achieve are made fun of by their contemporaries.

Old people are forgotten by the DemoRATS except for every four years when they trot out their “Republicans are going to take away your social security fear mongering. Meanwhile, the DemoRATs have spent all the social security funds for buying votes through other programs. Young people are going to have to pay for it.

“It's about those who have worked all their lives and never fully realized the promise of America, but see that promise for their grandchildren in Barack Obama.”

I haven't seen Barack Obama promise anything other than to destroy capitalism and bankrupt America. Obama’s game plan is making promises to get elected, and then proceed merrily on his way to implement socialism. He'll prevent every form of energy independence, which once again will have prices even higher than they were. His plans to tax “carbon emissions” will skyrocket the price of electricity. His tax plan will drive jobs out of the country at a rate that will make your head spin.

“The poor see a chance, when they often have few. I saw hope in the eyes and faces in those doorways.”

No matter how much Obama redistributes the wealth to the “poor”, they will remain poor. Only difference is, they'll have a lot more company when the jobs are all gone.

I watched a campaign organizer match up a young black man who looked to be college age with a white guy about my age to canvas together. It should not have been a big thing, but the beauty of the image did not escape me.

I get the feeling he would have liked the beauty even more if they had matched up the young black man to go into the projects with the worm's wife.

Yeah, his nuggets are kept in a lock box.

He knows the joy of not feeling "white guilt" but he doesn't know the joy of being for the best man. If Obama's elected, I pray he does a great job. There's gonna be major blowback if the doesn't.

Given that this story is out of Charlotte, NC, and the guy self identifies as a banker, he may soon find himself w/o a job.

Wachovia, located in Charlotte, was recently taken over by Wells Fargo and there are an anticipated number of layoffs coming.

Of course he might be one of those Bank of
America types. They are a lost cause.

Then we are even. When I met my wife she was a supporter of NPR, Planned Parenthood and the Sierra Club, after 10 years of living with me she listens to Rush every day, owns a shotgun and a 22 revolver, drives an SUV, has already voted for Sarah and gladly tells people she never knew just how much of a redneck girl she really was.

I don’t mind the ballet subscription—he’s a big tough guy who does a blue-collar job, in addition to collecting art, vacationing in Italy, and reading books on science and history. But this woman has him totally and completely p-whipped and has completely reorganized his mind about politics. It’s amazing and kind of awful to see. She’s not even hot, so WTH, you know?

And of course she can’t stand me because I’m the Sarah Palin type: I love guns, trucks, horses, power tools, taking care of my house, working in the garden, and children (not necessarily in that order).

"How do trolls have such early sign up dates?" I heard some purchase them on the political black market.
(No racism intended, "black market" is a phrase defined as: The illegal business of buying or selling goods or currency in violation of restrictions such as price controls or rationing. -- used in this way it has nothing to do with race.)
I figure as a white male I had better cover my bases in this department from now on. What with black man in the white house. I heard they fragged a guy for using the phrase "black hole". He was not referring to any orifice on a an african-american but merely using colorful language (no racism intended) to make his point regarding taxation. A brave man, indeed.

My first job out of college was selling door to door. Our city was just wired with Cable TV, and my job was to go door to door selling the service. At the time it was an easy job—60% of the doors knocked resulted in a sale. But we had to knock on every door, in every neighborhood, on every street.

This job opened my eyes to the generosity and overall politeness of average people in this country. I worked in affluent areas, and very poor areas. The poor areas (mostly urban, black and hispanic) had generally nicer people—people who would be more likely to ask you in and offer you a glass of water.

What this guy experienced is not an overwhelming outcry for Obama, but rather what most people should experience: That Americans are generally nice, honest, and welcoming people. We get so hung up on the stereotypes of our suburbs we cannot imagine that people are simply people.

That job changed my life. And I’m not going to vote for Obama.
