What's up with Fox News? Somethings amiss. They are going soft!

Posted on 11/02/2008 9:04:12 PM PST by rfmad

Starting about 3 weeks ago it seems Fox has started moving ever so slightly to the left. I don't know if they are afraid of the Fairness Doctrine or what but, other than Hannity, they all seemed resigned to Obama winning. Even Britt Hume's crowd has gone soft. I'm mad as hell about it! Anyone else notice this?

Obama called them out and they got “scared.” He said if it wasn’t for Fox news he’d be up more points. Ever since then listening has been unbearable. I quit tuning in.

I noted that even O’Reilly (not Hannity and the forthcoming Glenn Beck) have thought about their shows with no Obama access for the next 4 years and decided...well, if he is about an 3-1 favorite to win via the polls....I should hedge my bets and not slam him as I don’t want to be Washington Times’d from 2009-20012.

Yup! A friend of mine just said, Fox called it for Obama tonight! What!!!

I have tried to understand it? I dont know what happened. They seemed to turn right after Obama made a comment about FOX being in the bag for Republicans.

I dont know who to trust anymore on FOX, except Hannity

Yes! You are so right. I just can't stand watching Fox anymore, it is just to darn depressing. Even Carl Rove seems to have jumped the shark. I strickly read Free Republic and listen to talk radio to get my news. They are way ahead of the curve on the news!

They’re just reporting the various poll numbers. Don’t expect them to yell, “McCain will win!” when the numbers show differently. Also, they have said all along McCain’s campaign wasn’t the best it could be.

I posted a comment about this earlier after catching the last part of FNS.

Brit was absolutely disgusting and depressing.

Yes, I have. Kristol has always been a twit, but the others are disappointing.

Then I have to watch Huckabee cuddle up to Bill Maher and Richard Dreyfus??? BLEECCCH!

ON THE OTHER HAND, has anyone else noticed that Greta Von Sustren seems to have gone from a fairly closeted liberal to some kind of, well maybe not rightwinger, but battler for fair treatment of conservatives? I swear lately at times I almost think she’s one of us. What’s going on there??

Hank

Right after the McCain bashing fest following the third debate, I tuned out. For me it’s now only FR, Rush and Drudge.

Fox is a news organization and that is how they keep their credibility. They are not there to be the Obama hit piece..rather to report the facts and just let us decide.

Yep, but please excuse Greta also. She has been a trooper and very encouraging (love those PUMA’s) and look forward to them having a big impact on John McCain and Sarah Palin’s White House agenda!

(I used to really despise the Clintons, but now have a VERY soft spot for them. They are completely redeemed in my eyes.)

Hope Hillary has great impact with McCain.

1- It’s a business strategy
2- They believe the polls.
3- Obama has a history of punishing negative media outlets by denying them access.
4- FNC needs access to future Obama administration officials to compete with the other media.
5- If McCain wins they lose nothing doing this.

I don’t get it. Obama is going to be Jimmy Cater times ten. I’m old enough to remember how bad things where under Jimmy Peanuts. Those who forget history are doomed to reapet it.
