-snip-
Obama holds a wide lead over John McCain among those who say they have already voted (32% of all likely voters) or say they plan to vote before Election Day (7%). However, it is not quite as large as it was a week ago. More significant, the race is about even among voters who plan to vote on Election Day: 46% support McCain while 45% favor Obama.

The final Pew poll total is 52% to 46% (down from a 15% 0bama lead of just a few days ago(!)).
Pew says McCain actually leads among people planning to vote on election day. 0’s overall lead is supposedly due to the 40% of the country that will vote early. I wonder how many of these people actually voted early as claimed. I do not believe 40% of the country will have voted early, only in a select few battlegrounds does early voting even approach these numbers!

Careful now. Pew has Obama up five points over all.
This is just a poll of people who haven’t participated in early voting.

I wonder how many of these people actually voted early as claimed Exactly...what better way to get rid of someone on the phone than to tell them you've already voted.

I really believe that the 'RATS and their "media" are in for a great big ----ing surprise on Tuesday.
Someone suggested here a couple of days ago that November 5th be proclaimed as National Clean Your Firearm Day. I second that motion.

Spread the word to all those coal swing states, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, New Mexico, and Virginia.
Obama will bankrupt coal companies - Official calls comments 'unbelievable'...

What Obama's plans are for the coal industry---
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can, Obama said. It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.

Didn’t we read the other day where the early voting numbers were stabilizing, and going towards historical numbers?

The poll over samples living people who actually exist.
To: Chet 99
Well that’s not good. IF B.O. already holds a wide lead of early voters and McCain is only barely up with those voting on Tuesday, the net is a McCain loss.
Or am I reading this incorrectly?

Pew has the opposite of Gallup?? I'll take it! This is the first time Pew has gotten anything right.

He needs a HELL of a lot more than that to overcome early voters.

That's among likely voters. I think though... that McCain will be up 4+ on Election Day. Its looking good. We can disregard their registered voter portion, since not all registered voters vote. Its clear Obama is behind and he will keep falling. Good job from Pew!

No-they are counted on November 4, after the polls close I believe. What PEW is reporting are exit surveys of some type of those who voted early (I don’t know how they survey absentee voters).
