UN calls for sweeping new "Bretton Woods" system

UNITED NATIONS—Diplomats and economists are pressing for new global financial rules, seeking an update of the World War II-era system created at New Hampshire's Bretton Woods. Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph E. Stiglitz of Columbia University told the U.N. General Assembly that "this is a global crisis and it requires a global response." U.N. General Assembly President Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann convened a debate on the global financial meltdown to position the world organization squarely at the center of a possible fix. Development economist and former U.N. official Sakiko Fukuda-Parr of the New School said that "global solutions are needed." At the 1944 Bretton Woods conference of major powers in New Hampshire, the U.S.-led negotiations spawned the two major sister U.N. institutions, the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.

Here comes the new global fiat money regime, with a global central bank, and a global tax.

Barack Odingo will go for this like a fly goes to honey.

Does anybody else wonder why we still support the UN?

It tries to undermine the Constitution of the USA and
would love to cripple our Constitutional Republic.

In over 60 years No major politician has ever tried to
get the USA out of the UN.

16 out of 17 of the AMERICANS that were involved in
creating the UN were later identified, in sworn
testimony, as secret communist agents.

The first Secretary General was the AMERICAN Alger Hiss.
Alger Hiss served time in prison pursuant to his
involvement in a Communist spy ring.

Many of the other AMERICANS that were involved in creating
the UN fled the country, to avoid prosecution.

The ONE AMERICAN, that was involved in creating the UN and
was NOT later identified, in sworn testimony, as a secret
communist agent, was Dean Acheson.
Dean Acheson’s law firm was the legal representative of
the Soviet Union, in US courts.

If the AMERICANS that were involved in creating the UN
were Communists, what do you think we got from the rest
of the world?

So, where would the modern day Bretton Woods be?

Tehran Hills?

Pyongyang Forest? (the one without tree bark)

The world will have to wait for this, since the Mount Washington Hotel is undergoing renovations right now :)

The old Bretton Woods was a huge failure. It was abused by the United States and its collapse led to the stagflation and oil shocks of the 1970’s. Only in politics do you get to repeat your mistakes over and over again.

More evidence of why I think the whole financial “crisis” was planned. The economic situation could get Obami elected (goal 1) and have the world and the country begging for big government to save us (goal 2).

That’s how the powers do it. They manufacture a crisis and then agee to “solve” it for the greater good.

It’s the Cloward-Piven strategy.

Biden already alluded to a ‘generated crisis’. Who knows what liberties we’ll be coerced to give up.

‘We’ still support the UN because the globalists and transnational corporations that control it, also control our own politicians. It is one of the many tools created by the internationalists for forcing global government on the world.

When we restrict campaign funding from NGOs and transnational corporations, we will be able to elect politicians who stand for America first.

When President Bush gets in front of the G8(UN funders!) and says we are ‘interdependent’ with the world instead of independent, he is tossing away America for the globalist vision. Our government has been utterly corrupted. We have a lot of work to do to regain our free and independent nation, if we have the will for it.
