Well, in my neighbor's case, he was begging to not be overdosed to death. The day chosen as the appointed time was decided because it was the last day before his "had gotten one extension" hospice benefit through medicare ran out.

In your neighbor’s case, that was awful. In my Mom’s case she made it clear she was ready and wanted to go. That makes a huge difference in the morality for all concerned.
