Well, thanks for calling me an ignorant fool.
I have 3 kids, all products of our local school system. They all enthusiastically worked and voted for McCain/Palin. They are self-supporting young adults, productive members of society.
All went to a major public university on 4 year scholarships, and they earned, among them, five engineering degrees. While in public school they earned National Merit, Eagle Scout and numberous other community and scholastic awards. All earned college-level credits in high school, enough to skip the freshman year of college.
They also shoot guns, hat tip to your screen name.
They are a product of the perfect combination: parents who care and who daily monitor their progress and their behavior, and teachers who know their subject and who are free to teach it with parental support.
I know more about this than you do, bub. Having done this right, I’ll pit my experience against yours any day.
Congratulations on raising successful children in spite of the government schools.
Instead of being offended by my comments, you should do a little research.
I suggest you look at the Barna surveys (eg. 80% of Christian children leaving government schools leave with a socialist worldview). Also read this book:

What you’ll see is that you are in the minority. Do you have an explanation why homeschooling families are so much more likely to consistently produce Christian, conservative voters?
I do. That’s why my children will never set foot in a government school.
Incidentally, I don’t consider enthusiastic work for a liberal, anti-gun, pro-abortion, big government Republican as prima facie evidence of a Biblical worldview, let alone a conservative worldview.
