Republicans in border states like California need to stop listening to "helpful" liberals and start publicly supporting those positions.

Bingo. In 1980, the population was 80% white. In 2008, it is 66% white and falling rapidly. Whites tend to be the conservatives in society. While there are possibilities to attract minorities thru some social issues, most of them are socialists first so that trumps everything else. America is gone. Pat Buchanan was right. America needed a timeout to allow people to assimilate into the culture and learn American history and values. It didn't happen. The decline is going to happen...whether amnesty takes place or not will merely determine the pace of the decline.
