Spot on analysis. Hillary couldn’t understand when she couldn’t engage Obama on issues and McCain lost it when he couldn’t get legitimate character concerns to stick.
Truth is, the electorate has been going through a lot of heavy issues and stress the past few years and were in the mood for a dose of escapism. Obama is a once in a generation candidate running in a once in a generation campaign.
No let’s hope he can buck all indicators and pull out a solid performance in a presidential environment that no one in their right mind should want any part of.
