The 'fence' aside. . .he was in favor of not punishing those already here; those who showed 'good intentions' and whom were already employed. . .a message that was soon squelched on behalf of more conserative voices; his message distorted by MSM as yes, the financial boondoggle of which had more Demrat fingerprints on it that one could reasonably count but the owner's of such; blamed all on Bush.
And McCain did not go after the worst of the culprits. . .criminals or for that matter; demand redress.

The reason we are in this situation is because idiots like John McCain, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and others tacitly (and in some cases overtly) refused to enforce validly enacted immigration laws.
Enforce the damn law...or risk the death of the rule of law, and at that point, who the hell needs Congress critters and Senators!
