A teacher browbeats a student for supporting McCain. The teacher tells the student that McCain will make her daddy stay in Iraq for 100 years. Unbelievable that it took a foreign media to uncover this in out own Nation.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

This will make you sick. I couldn't watch the whole thing myself.

You are so correct!

That teacher intimidated those students; I’d hate to be one of their parents, it would not be pretty.

Browbeat a student?? I could show Dianthia what browbeat really is. If that were my child I’d be in jail for assault and battery. How disgusting, and to top it off, the kid can’t even vote in the first place.

Browbeat, is exactly what she did. She’s a moron and I guarandamntee ya she isn’t the only one teaching in public schools. She is a condescending and patronizing liar.

If the girls dad had to be in Iraq for 100 years he should be thankful. I’d be glad to be anywhere for 100 years, heh. Of course the whole 100 years thing was taken out of context anyway. The teacher knew it was a lie but, by any means necessary, right?

Homeschool!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness my kids are already out of school Our daughter plans to homeschool her three boys. Teachers like that have no business ‘teaching’ kids.

The other thing that really pisses me off about this teacher is telling this little girl the war was senseless and her father may be in Iraq for 100 years.
This little girl is already stressed enough that her father is away and at war. How terrifying to have a teacher tell you your father may be away for 100 years.

We’re f’d.

I guess that was a special occasion (ie foreign media showing up), but it’s nice to know that time is spent at school with kids talking about how they feel.

“The soft bigotry of low expectations” applies more to the teachers than to the students, IMO. It’s really sad to think that kids who could have a chance to make it on their own with a quality education are instead stuck in an environment for 7 hours a day in which they are constantly subjected to liberal-left pablum. But is that not the point? The more students who succeed, the fewer future supporters of the policies favored by their teachers.

Would not these students be better off if 7 hours a day they work on their, uh, I don’t know, how about reading, writing, and arithmetic? Imagine if in grades K through 12 these children actually worked at that day in and day out, instead of the latest progressive educational nonsense to come down the pike? That school didn’t look too shabby. Yet I’m sure that the students aren’t performing well and the teachers, principal, and superintendent will claim that it’s because they don’t have enough money.

Let’s face it, liberals don’t want these children to succeed. Especially the African-American children.

Not unbelievable at all. The majority of the negative press about Osama came out in the international press and had to be recirculated here bypassing the MSM. No surprise here at all.

I tried pushing the news about BHO’s plan to get pre-teens to support him and then to use those pre-teens to get votes on October 26:

I spent a lot of time trying to push that, it’s too bad it didn’t take off.

I work in an inner city public school system. This teacher is nothing unusual. She’s par for the course.

You wanna know why we’re losing the battle of ideas?

Watch this video.
