With all the hype and hoopla, what happens to his ardent supporters when life just goes on as before? No sky opening up with angels descending and ascending - just back to the every day humdrum existence.
Early on during the campaign, I said that this was just like American Idol. After the contest is over, then the public is ready for the next one. As you said, Americans have an extremely short attention span.
