The mystery man who provided a shoulder of support to Oprah Winfrey during Tuesday's rally has been revealed as Sam Perry, a communications director and fundraiser for Silicon Valley for Obama. Perry did not immediately return phone calls Thursday, but a Harpo Inc. spokeswoman said the now-famed Perry will appear on Winfrey's show Friday, alongside Frank Rich, the New York Times columnist, and George Stephanopoulos, the ABC newsman.
Perry is an independent investor and corporate development consultant who, according to campaign records, is also a Democratic donor. At Tuesday night's rally, Winfrey seemed to cozy up to Perry, who was standing just in front of her in a VIP section of Hutchinson Field in Grant Park.
More than once during the broadcast, networks beamed live footage of the queen of daytime talk leaning forward and resting her chin on Perry's shoulder. Winfrey's longtime beau Stedman Graham was standing just behind her, and apparently not well positioned to lend support.
"When Sam's image came up on the screen, we were like, 'Wow, there's Sam!' " said Wendy Wark, 50, a fellow volunteer with Silicon Valley for Obama. "We had a Silicon Valley for Obama election party at the computer history museum in Mountain View, Calif. There were 1,500 of us there. When [Perry] was on the big screen, there was much joy and elation and cheering. We love Oprah and we think she's amazing."
Perry, "was a volunteer like us. Everyone knows him," Wark said.
On Wednesday's live broadcast, Winfrey talked about Perry but didn't mention his name, calling him only "Mr. Man."
"Friends around the country called me and said, 'Who is with you?' " Winfrey said. "I go, 'I don't know him.' "

Agreed. If she can be brought down it would be a huge first step. She has so much influence and can make even an intelligent woman into a robot who will buy whatever she tells them to buy or do whatever she tells them to do.

We should care because of her influence on this election. She claims she didn't use her show for Obama’s election but we know that was a lie. She has also admitted to using her influence ‘as a private citizen’ behind the scenes to help him get elected. Oprah cannot qualify as a ‘private citizen’.
I use to be a viewer but as time went on her show became more of a whine session about black inequality. I started watching less and only watched the shows about make overs and such. The last straw was her portrayal of the Wigwam Motel, a surviving piece of Americana, on ‘the big adventure’ with her minion Gail. They were supposed to spend the night there but only stayed long enough to go into one of the rooms and act like she had contracted lice. She ran that place down so totally. They then drove to the first luxurious hotel they could find and continued to disparage the place. I'm convinced that if the owner had been black it would have been a different story. She can go to all these nasty aids and disease ridden places in Africa, of which we keep pouring money in to no avail of these people ever helping themselves, and she doesn’t act disgusted there. She continues to convince the white part of her audience, that possess the IQ of chickens, to idolize her and go forth in the world like a bunch of drooling zombies to do her bidding. They buy her books, products....that she recommends and in return to the American public she has helped force an empty inexperienced suit upon us whose ONLY qualification is being black.
She has become the biggest most powerful race baiter in this country. So yeah, I think we should care.
I Dixie Chicked her a long time ago and after what I've seen during this election from the MSM news I have also Dixie Chicked all of the MSM networks. Other than watching my local news for the weather.
You know this show sounds really intriguing, but I think I’m going to do something far more enjoyable today. I think I’ll go have a hemorrhoid lanced,without anesthesia.Yes, that does sound like something to send a tingle up and down my leg!
