So it is important then that every single one of these executive orders be talked about individually. Because we must understand what overturning them means.... So when we get hit by another Al-Qaida attack, which BUSH has prevented for the last 8 years, we will know who to blame...

The hatred for Bush and the good things he did for the sake of America, something totally offensive to our liberal socialists, will be targeted first. They will, as part of their long range strategy, demonize EVERYTHING that pro-American conservatives think and do.

Bank on it.

Yes, indeed, here we go. Lab factories creating human life just to destroy it, when there is no indication of any promise in that type of research.

No production of our own energy resources while prices soar and we spend ourselves into oblivion on mythical, magical energy sources.

The Dems kept those oil proices sky high. We lowered it by driving less...but we also shopped less....The Dems didn't care...the word was "no drilling"...except just before the election...they said...okay...but ZIP has happened...and they will drive them back up...partly with another stimulus pacakge and you know it's coming...a tax increase on fuel...another increase caused by giveaways to "their cause"...

The "do nothing" oil mess we went through effected EVERY industry....And sent the economy into a tail spin...which is still spinning.

"They want to have oil and gas drilling in some of the most sensitive, fragile lands in Utah," Podesta said. "I think that's a mistake."

Oh I see, now the “fragile land” is located in Utah. Interesting.

Here is Texas we can drill natural gas wells in the Barnett shale inside Ft. Worth city limits in a residential neighborhood just down the street from elementary schools with no environmental impact and near zero impact of any kind.

But we can not drill in the “fragle land” in the wilds of Utah.

The only thing “fragle” about that is Podestas I.Q.

I’d expect a future Obama ban of offshore drilling will push up gasoline prices.

I think removing the Presidential ban, and allowing the Congressional ban to lapse, is a large part of the reason why gasoline prices have dropped recently.

However, it seems that no credit for reduced prices have been claimed or given. So here it is. Gasoline prices plummeted because President Bush removed the Presidential ban on offshore drilling, and because Congress allowed the Congressional ban to expire (under pressure of the “Drill here, Drill now” effort).

As fast as the prices went down, that’s about how fast they will go back up, once BHO reinstates the Presidential ban. And who will get the blame? “Greedy” oil companies.

It shall be simple enough to keep gasoline prices around $2.00.

All we have to do is adopt the metric system of measures, same as Jimmy Carter tried to force upon the American public in 1977, and the $2.00 is per liter, which translates to about $7.70 per gallon.

Like it or not, we shall have to drill on a much larger scale than is now being undertaken. If only for the health of the planet as a whole.

If we do not drill here, using all the environmental safeguards, then other nations and entities will, WITHOUT the mitigation steps to reduce or eliminate the environmental distruction in the immediate area, and spreading throughout the entire planet.

Sure, the US uses a lot of carbon-based fuel, But we use them more efficiently, with less noxious effluent, than anywhere else in the world. The major product of the combustion of carbon-based fuel is carbon dioxide. This particular reaction releases a LOT of energy, which provides the power driving our civilization, and is thus indispensable.

Carbon dioxide, despite all the propaganda to the contrary, is NOT a pollutant. Know this and know it for a certainty: Carbon dioxide is plant food. Without it, plants wither and die. It is our OBLIGATION to increase carbon dioxide to the degree we are able, to aid our plant life on this planet to grow and extend to its maximum limit.

High fuel prices and energy shortages will break down the middle class faster than anything else, and the whole purpose of radical environmentalism is to tear down Capitalism and the middle class. The thugs in Washington know what they want, but I don’t think they will be ready for what they get.

Between an end to any new drilling offshore or in ANWAR, the punitive taxes on oil companies that are likely a first order of business for the new Congress and new carbon taxes, I expect gasoline will quickly become $5+ gallon and we will be standing in line as shortages will be common. Welcome to Jimmy Carter’s second term.

I believe one of the first things the Dems will do is hike the Fed gas tax to $.75 - $1.00 a gallon. Especially as prices have crashed they have the perfect cover to do so.

The stem cell decision was thoroughly researched and analyzed and presented. Very well done. However, the 911 attack came soon after and that decision was the last to be explained in such fashion. Perhaps Mr Obama will have the leisure to develop and present all his EOs so well.

The first thing Obama will do when he takes office will be to reinstate taxpayer funding for abortion. Clinton set the precedent of doing it by executive order.

Maybe an executive order for gay marriage in the military, too. It wouldn’t surprise me. Again, clinton set the example.

Prediction in 2 years: Gas at nearly $10/gal., Electricity bills more than doubled, DOW down to 4,000, Unemployment at 25%, riots and Civilian Security Corps (TonTon Macoute).

No? You think I am pessimistic? Hell, I am OPTIMISTIC!
