You said — “Disagreements on political philosophy does not automatically mean the other side is evil. I did not vote for Obama nor can I imagine a scenario in which I would. I do not like him nor agree with him on many issues and his fundamental political underpinnings disturb me.
BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE HIM EVIL.”
He’s evil because of his deeds and his choices and his partnerships (with some of the people who have helped and backed him)
I can mention Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers and that should be evil enough. Obama ridicules those who hold to the Bible (and also “guns”). That’s evil enough, too. He speaks for abortion (along with a lot of others, too) and that’s a very evil practice that he condones and promotes, making him another promoter of evil (in that practice).
As a Marxist (i.e., taking on the philosophy of Marxism), that totally anti-God philosophy, and thus evil.
You’ll notice that I didn’t mention being a Democrat...
Without getting too involved in the conversation since it’s not the thread topic, you’re absolutely right that Obama is not evil, despite having associations I’d put in that category, though I’d probably use different terminology. Equating Obama to Hitler or suggesting he advocates genocide is not only factually indefensible, it completely negates the many legitimate reasons to oppose the man. To the extent those things are associated with conservatives, the ability of conservatives to persuade is diminished.
