Let me get this straight…

George Bush is PRO stem cell research, and is the first President in history to sign a bill providing Federal funding FOR stem cell research.

So Obama is going to reverse this funding?

I believe the new country of Texas will be joined by the new country of Montana. The legislation is already in the state house- has been for a few months.
Don’t be surprised if Wyoming and Utah follow. Wish Nevada would do the same....

The left intentionally ignores an important distinction when debating the stem cell research issue.
There are two types of stem cells, embryonic & adult.
The majority of those on the right are opposed to embryonic stem cell research because this research requires the distruction of the living embryo while adult stem cell research does not and is therefore not opposed.
The left gains ground in the stem cell research debate by intentionally avoiding this distinction.

You have it backwards. Obama is reversing EVERY E.O. that might prevent the murder of any embryo, fetus, or BORN BABY.

I Know...

It blows my mind how in EVERY article on the subject, they ignore the very simple facts, and go with the “template”.

Bush isn’t necessarily against Embryonic stem cell research either, he is against the federal government sponsoring it because of the appearance of conflicts with abortion.
Therefore, the funding for embryonic type was left out of the legislation.

The truth is, the private sector can do embryonic research if they want but it has never lead to any positive results and so private funding has focused on cord blood, etc.

I have another possible plan. Canada has just re-elected their conservative government. If the 55 million Americans who voted for McCain move to Canada and join the current population of 33 million then Canada would be firmly a conservative nation. Within 20 years of Canada being conservative and America being liberal we can simply march south from the border and take over the USA with little effort.
