The co-chair of Barack Obama's Transition Team, Valerie Jarrett, appeared on Meet the Press this weekend and used, shall we say, an interesting word to described what she thinks Barack Obama will be doing in January when he's officially sworn into office. She told Tom Brokaw that Obama will be ready to "rule" on day one. It's a word that reflects the worst fears that people have for Obama the "arrogant," the "messiah," that imagines he's here to "rule" instead of govern.
Jarret told Brokaw that "given the daunting challenges that we face, it's important that president elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one."
We will be having coronation not inaugaration.
Gee whiz, I have got to set a sense of humor about this all or I am going to have to start taking antidepressants.
Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Kinda cool.
I thought Hillary was ready on day one. I thought she said Obama wasn’t ready.
Hillary said Obama didn’t pass his commander in chief test. When did he pass that test?
Where is Hillary anyway? What does she have to say about Obama? Will she run for president in 2016, now that we know Obama is elected and will run for re-election in 2012?
Where is Bill Clinton?
Does Hillary still dream of being the first woman president?
So this is yet another example of CHANGE
in the past, Presidents have served “we the people”
This one plans to rule “we the sheeple”
I wonder if they are tinkering with the oath of office That pesky part about defending and protecting the Constitution
If we use the word “rule” rather than “govern,” then the natural corollary is that 0bama will not have an “administration,” but rather a “regime.” I’ve already started using that word to describe his presidency.
He will be ruling....particularly during his 7 years of free reign.
The right has its leaders, the left needs rulers.
Hillary has gone away, she must have been either threatened, or promised something.
Valerie Jarrett knows as much about how our system of gov’t works as Hussein’s hordes of young, blind followers. ...which is, not even at an elementary level.

Howard Dean, DNC Chairman, said only a few days ago that “it was the democrats turn to ‘rule’ this country”...
Seems like both Dean and Obama have forgotten that they are SUPPOSED to work for US...Not the other way around...
