Look, I am not a particularly religious person for many reasons. However this mania to kill not yet born but clearly Human children is beyond my capacity to understand.

Indeed. There was a time when I was not particularly religious and I thought the same thing. I'm religious now partly because it became clearer and clearer to me that there was a force behind that mania much much deeper than its adherents cared to admit.

That's interesting, Claud. I went through a similar process. I finally perceived that there is evil in this world that is not fully attributable to selfish people acting to suit themselves. I mean that the evil goes beyond what any profit-pleasure-plaudit-loving person could want, in terms of "rational self-interest," and it drives on and on beyond what even a maddened animal would do.

So the depths of evil are not "bestial." Human beings do not sink to the level of the animal. We sink to the level of the demonic.

And in a paradoxical way, that's why I believe in God. There must be a Supremely Good Being who can and will prevail; because if not, we're already in hell.
