On Sunday, November 9, a band of about 30 gays stormed a church in Lansing, Michigan. Some were well dressed and were stationed inside Mount Hope Church; others were outside dressed in pink and black. The group of self-described homosexual anarchists, Bash Back!, claims the evangelical church is guilty of “transphobia and homophobia.”

The protesters outside the church were beating on buckets, shouting “Jesus was a homo” on a megaphone and carrying an upside-down pink cross. Fire alarms went off inside the church, protesters stormed the pulpit and a huge rainbow-colored flag was unfurled with the inscription, “IT’S OKAY TO BE GAY! BASH BACK!” The church was vandalized, obscenities were shouted and worshippers were confronted. There were no arrests.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue addressed this issue today:

“The real story here is the refusal of the mainstream media to cover what is surely one of the most disturbing events of 2008. If an organized group of gay bashers stormed a gay church, there is not a single sentient person in the United States who wouldn’t know about it.

“This is urban fascism come to America’s heartland. It must be quickly stopped before it gets out of control. We are contacting Mike Cox, the Attorney General of Michigan, calling for an investigation.”

Bingo. I find it interesting that they attacked a Catholic church where 53 to 57% of Catholics voted for BHO but why would they not attack a black church who put the prop 8 in California over the top?

Two reasons come to mind.

1) If they attacked a black church it would not go over well in the media. They would receive a lot of back lash and negative press which would expose the truth of what they really are.
2) The congregation would have beat the gayness right out of them

Me too. I am taking a basic job at an auto parts store, I was between jobs until last week when I was hired. I plan on cutting back, well I have already, I have to watch what I spend anyways, and only buy things I need. I just want to make enough to pay the least taxes while taking care of Mom and my cats. I'll keep my 14/15 year old jalopy running, if I have to buy a new car, (har har), I'm considering foreign. Big ticket items like TV's, I'll only buy the cheapest ones and only in dire need. I have a 1994 refrigerator but my backup is a 1938 Frigidare, how's that for "shrugging?" My TV is 1982 Zenith bought new in early 1983. Well working in auto parts, I had the great tour Saturday and told I was hired, it was very, very busy, in this Obamanation, people will need parts to keep the cars running. Also, the big three are in trouble, it would mean more after market third party parts as well. Already, I have some people coming to me for parts, I feel like I live in Cuba II.

The "No on 8" crowd also vandalized an LDS church here in the Sacramento area. Protesters have absolutely no right to vandalize the church, it was an election and they lost!

However, I will say that the local LDS had young people on all four corners of every major intersection here on election day, waiving "No on Eight!" signs -- and the news chose not to share that when they ran this story.

Yeah, I'm no stranger to scarcity so it isn't too much of an issue with me. My "newest computer" was made in 1999. I have a TV here in this room, a portable Sony from 1964. Oh, another suggestion, check out thrift stores like St. Vincent Du Pauls and so on. Dollar Tree is good for some stuff as well as Family Dollar. I'm not a fan of Wal*Mart but worse comes to worst, well, they are there. I believe in buying American but with OBummer in there, well, sometimes we do need some hurt before we can heal.

I'm a gamer as well, but only have the first Playstation, I'd love a PS2 or a Wii but will only buy those used or reconditioned. There are ways to live well while being frugal. If you do need to make a major purchase because you really need it, go ahead, but for pleasure, either do without although there could be other ways to have your cake and eat it too with minimal expense.

I guess being between jobs until now and also being raised by a single parent via divorce, I guess that's taught me a lot.

I also try to fix things, I need to look at the DVD player in my combo, if I can fix that fine, but if not, I just might buy a cheap DVD player to get by since I do have a DVD collection, my buddy went "dumpster diving" when the local Blockbuster closed. They threw out thousands and thousands of DVD and he scarfed them up. He gave me hundreds of them. I even "dumpster dived" myself, got me a CD player from 1984 for a stereo system, a GE high end model of it's time. I just need a small belt or rubber band to fix the tray mechanism and I'm ready to go. Sometimes I scour yard sales and trash day too.

They are not reporting as they should be, they never reported on obama, they do not report much about the liberals and the gaystapio terrorising people.

It is high time we got this sorted out to let people know what on earth is going on in this country. We need to get our children involved in more teaching, more journalism etc other wise we will end up in a communist country and no one will realise it.

The GOP needs to get on live TV at every opportunity and state on live TV about certain media not covering issues and ask then why they are not doing it. They need to do press conferences and ask for investigations into this.
Every time I tell people what is going on they say are you sure I haven’t heard it on the media or news.

The best tool in this situation are spring sticks, that hurt like heck and give massive bruises. Two or three men with those and there would be an end to the nonsense.

Undoubtedly they would be arrested. But unless the court prohibited the defense from talking about the circumstances at all, they would be acquitted.

Every Christian Church in this nation should have at the ready, a clear and easy to understand prayer that leaves not doubt it calls for repentance and abandoning of sin, and repeats over and over for the souls of those who will not. The congregations should learn it, and if the congregation has a loud speaker, teleprompter screen, both, either, or, should be used for volume. When these folks come into a Church to confront parishioners and the Church, this prayer should be recited loudly!! It can even be in song version. During it, they should be welcomed to repent.

Oh yeah, it will anger them, but the Church certainly can't be faulted. The pastor or Priest can even say “how nice that we have a chance to save all these people today. Parishioners could even surround them, with love of course, with every intention of saving even just a few.

Practice what we preach. A friends parish did exactly this, and yes the activists were incensed, some were dumbfounded, but they eventually left. Any damage they did was outside.

Now if they have weapons, which may eventually happen, that would be a different scenario.
