Old hatreds resurface
Waterbury Republican-American ^ | November 11, 2008 | Editorial

It seems America owes an apology to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the one-time spiritual leader of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and Barack Obama's former pastor. He says those now-infamous, anti-American statements he made from the pulpit were taken out of context.

"The world doesn't know about my 41 years of ministry, or my writing of books, because it was all taken down to a 10-second sound bite that the media chose to show about a sermon that was delivered seven years ago," the Rev. Wright said Thursday night at a gathering in Milford. "The media didn't care about the whole sermon and what it was about. They just used those 10 seconds and used it as a weapon of mass destruction against (Sen. Obama's) campaign."

So when he said, "God Damn America," or "U.S. of KKKA," he didn't mean it in a bad way; he was just taken out of context.

On Thursday night, was he again taken out of context? One newspaper quoted him as saying "it is not just the Bible that has racism written into it, but the Quran, the Vedas and other religious texts," and "(m)y biggest fear is that we will take (Sen. Obama's election) and think a whole lot has changed."

One of our biggest fears is hate-filled, stuck-in-the-'50s race hustlers will continue to pick at the scabs of America's racist past to ensure the wounds never heal.

The Rev. and his supporters are the ones who should be apologizing.

the only race baiters I saw in this election was the black community who came out in droves to vote for a man who was not all white.

The black community have proved themselves for the most part ignorant and racist and yet the media ignores all of this while they pat themselves on their backs

disgusting

Well, Jerry, ol' fella...it takes a lot of "attaboys" to overcome one "aw $h1+".

Words mean things...and for you to publicly "god damn America" is really quite self-explanatory.

Meanwhile, you've dealt your own religion - "Black Theology" - quite a blow. Most people see it as simply a cult movement used to offer an explaination to blacks why they should think of themselves as "victims" of "the man". And then to whip them up into a frenzy to prolong the racism and hatred that has held blacks in its grips for far too long.

If you didn't want anyone to hear it, you shouldn't have said it. You can't put the "toothpaste" back into the tube once it's out.

So go ahead and write your book, retire on it's royalties in your multi-million dollar home the church bought you, and just shut the f*** up...nobody cares.

“Reverend”, we don’t have to go by 10 seconds of your racist, hate-filled drivel. You used to sell DVD boxed-sets of it, remember?

And your website was full of racist, hate-filled drivel right up until it started hurting Obama?

You are a race-baiting Marxist, and you’re none too bright neither.

"(m)y biggest fear is that we will take (Sen. Obama's election) and think a whole lot has changed."

Gee, we wouldn't want people to think that just because the USA elected a black President that the USA is not racist, would we ?

That would put quite a dent into the race victim industry and might even send it into recession.

We can't have that now, can we ?

.

We will apologize when the Obama campaign apologizes to Sarah Palin. She got a heck of a lot worse treatment from those people who professed to be Christian believers.

You're right, can you explain exactly how he did it?

” race hustlers will continue to pick at the scabs of America’s racist past to ensure the wounds never heal.”

Amen.
A whole industry has been made of this by the likes of Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakan, Wright and others. They have gained financially and have kept their flock down on the “Victim Plantation”.....thereby insuring the collective votes of these victims.

By violent abuse of workers.

Point being that the good things one accomplishes are not credited if they are accomplished by evil means or accompanied by other evil acts of greater significance, like perpetuating the polarised, self-perpetuating suffering of “race-consciousness.”
