Shepard Smith, A Giant Embarrassment For Fox News
Breitbart TV ^ | 11/12/08 | AJAY

Posted on 11/12/2008 4:32:11 AM PST by AJAY

Shepard Smith has long been an embarrassment for those of us who look to Fox News for reliability and intelligence. He always has been very unsophisticated and shows no sign that he does any homework to keep himself minimally informed. Study after study, including from liberal sources like the Washington Post and the Pew Foundation, have demonstrated the Obama bias of the MSM. He screams “preposterous” at his guest who points this out. Aggressiveness like his combined with a lack of intelligence is a witch’s brew.

For Shepard to know nothing about the MSM Obama bias is truly bewildering. What country does he live in? And to add insult to injury, the FNC Judge pipes up with support for this absurdity. I don’t really believe the Judge believes what he said in order to prop up an over-matched Smith.

With Brit Hume, as sophisticated as any contemporary journalist around, retiring from FNC, and Smith too dense to understand his own intellectual limitations, things don’t seem to be too bullish for the Fox News Channel. It’s truly sad.

I haven’t watched him since the post Katrina hysterics

I guess he’s still on. That is a surprise.

We, too, are a Smith-free zone.

Among all the other stuff about this clown, he wears far too much eye make-up to suit me.

I’ve never liked him, but the icing on the cake was lathered on a few years ago when he threatened a woman who was trying to park in a space that Shemp had decided was a FOX parking place..............

Several of the attractive blonds on FNC actually have brains.

I can't stand Shep! It drives me crazy when he repeats the first word of every sentence when he's trying to sound informed.

Smith is there for one reason, to give the notion of fair and balanced. If this were a truly right wing organization, he would be gone. Frankly I’d love to see them give that slot to Megyn but that ain’t going to happen.

I watched him sparingly up to the Katrina disgrace and from then on, this has been a SmithFree Zone too. I’d rather watch a mindless run of Cops and jeopardy rather than losing my dinner.

Thank goodness for Shep Smith!

Yep! It is because of him that I found Lou Dobbs. 7PM comes and I go to CNN —— BEFORE the drama starts.

Nothing to do with his choices in life. Everything to do with every breathless moment being startling news.

When he is accused of being on the left or right, he goes into a tirade trying to show his neutrality, but it is the same dramatics all over again.

I really don’t understand his supposedly high ratings.

Yes he was, he threw a complete hissie fit on air. i remember even ALAN COMBS had the decency to look stunned and embarrassed.

I reckon Sheppie was on station because he had been in town anyhow for their annual NO queerfest.

I have refused to watch that POS since then.

>>>>>I wish Fox would bring back John Gibson. <<<<<

Yes, some of those executives at Fox News are too dumb to appreciate the really smart conservatives. Why they got rid of John Gibson is beyond me. They had a pairing of two truly intelligent commentators in John and Heather Nauert at the 2:PM-Pacific hour. They knew politics and government far better than the fluff who replaced them. I have trouble believing the replacements increased the audience. But it does look like FNC is going for a late teen-age audience at risk of losing more mature viewers.

As an original FNC viewer, it is all to clear to me that Fox is on a downhill course. At least, the retirement of Brit Hume is a disaster that wasn’t an intentional one like the Gibson-Nauert scrapping and the retention of Shepard Smith.

If the upcoming ‘Gay Olympics’ have an event for “Drama Queen” I know who’s the favorite for the Gold.

Shepard Smith is not very bright. He is just a talking head that could be put in front of a camera.

Shep Smith has done for Fox News what the Boston Strangler did for door-to-door sales.

Smith’s eyes are cold.

The first time I ever saw him he was deriding Nader for saying something.

I decided then and there Fox was out for good and I don’t even care for Nader.

Tony Snow and Brit Hume have class. Something the media
have none of these days.
