I left that state almost 45 years ago at the age of 18 and I never ever want to go back. I won’t even shop or visit any New England state...

How long before these godless freaks start to sue churches (particularly the Catholic Church) when those churches refuse to perform the ceremonies?

Hard to believe my home state was founded by Puritans.

Disgusting. Tyranny of Supreme Courts rules in CT. First Kelo, now a state supreme court ruling.

I agree. Giving up is usually the best stragegy.

It's not exactly giving up. It's more a case of reframing the rules to make their games irrelevant. Marriage is a sacred institution that should be protected fram arbitrary redefinition. I don't think we can win in all 50 states forever, and under the "full faith and credit" clause any state that recognizes marriage is required to recognize whatever another state pretends is a "marriage".

Article IV, Section 1: Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state. And the Congress may by general laws prescribe the manner in which such acts, records, and proceedings shall be proved, and the effect thereof.

It's better to have marriage as a religious institution only, but still with all the religious significance that marriage has always had, than as a legal institution that also covers something that has been added by a few judges in one or two states. I believe that we should rewrite the rules to make the battle go away.

I give it 5 years tops before a state in this country allows polygamy.

I have a Comprehensive Immigration package for you to support too. The rest of us call it Amnesty.

Rush talked about your strategy a couple of weeks ago. Most conservatives just want to be left alone, and so they rationalize their capitulation, as you’ve done, so that the Leftists will just leave them alone.

Of course, that just let's the Leftists achieve a small victory, and then they are the offensive again

Yeah. It’ll be the Islamic polygamy with Camels and all, and not the LDS kind... say what? Are you all camelophobics? (sarc off)

Gee, I don’t remember seeing this on my ballot.

America now has a newly imposed meaning for 'b a l l o t':

..bill
....achieving
.......loud
..........laughter
.............of
................tyrants

Believe it, my friend, the tyrannical justices, congrassmen (sorry, is that a typo?), and now presidentay-electay thumb their noses at the will of the people, cheat and lie their way to power, and shove their perverted liberalism and socialist-marxist ideology down our throats.

Our only recourse was question 1, Convene a Constitutional Convention.

When I lived in CA we got to vote on it. Whole lot of good it did us (then), the courts overturned it.

Well, I did vote yes for that, but as usual, I was on the losing side :-(

Here’s a real life illustration of how it’s never enough for the Leftists: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2131204/posts

In spite of a CT law giving them the right civil unions, now they demand, and recieve the right to marry.

What you are proposing isn’t enough either, you are only fooling yourself,
