Even the Democrats know that a silenced majority will become an angry majority. When people feel they are not being heard or represented, they vote out the controlling party. (Which is what happened in 2006/2008.)

Once the immigration bills are passed next year, there won't be a next election for Republicans.

BTW, what happened in 2008 was a media coup. The stock market "coincidentally" imploded just before the election, the Obama media blamed it on the Republicans and the mushy middle voted their 401Ks.

Of course, the Obama media "forgot" to mention the part about the new Democrat supermajority confiscating their 401Ks...

Nope, all would need to be done is the server that host this site be mirrored in other countries then they would be mostly powerless. I am over simplifying this of course but the point is, steps could be taken to ensure the survival of freerepublic.

For example a website has multiple in place so if one is taken down they still survive like the following example:
