What I saw there was two different factions of homosexuals, each trying to dominate the proceedings. That one old fart in front of the camera was saying, “I’m not hurting anything!” One of the other homosexuals had told him he was hurting their cause by being so confrontational. Unfortunately the hot-head prevailed, and a lot of other protesters joined in with him.
We have some of the same dynamics go on at our rallies, although I haven’t seen the violence obviously. Someone always wants to win the argument right there on the spot, and that simply doesn’t happen. You have to present your view in a manner that others will see it, and think that it sounds reasonable to them. Vile signs don’t facilitate that.
I give this lady a lot of credit for standing there and taking the guff. She served a very important purpose. She may think she failed, but I’ll guarantee you, she won a lot of converts by standing there like that in the face of pure evil.
There should be an investigation of the Palm Springs (or other municipality) police department that could allow this to continue without stepping in and returning order to the situation.
This lady had as much right to be out there as anyone else. And when these thugs silenced her, that was a civil rights violation. These men should be prosecuted for it.
She’s elderly and needs an advocate. I’ll pass this on to the American Center for Law & Justice. Maybe they’ll view it & see an avenue of recourse. Also, pass it on in emails to all your conservative friends & family members. It’s time we stood up to these bullies once & for all. I’m tired of being told how much I hate them. I never did but I’m beginning to.
True, but the courts (even the Supreme Court) have ruled multiple times that the police have no "duty" to protect anyone. And of course the Dems want to take our most efficient means of protection away from us.

The only gay man I know well enough to talk to about this stuff does not approve of any of this. He doesn’t approve of gay “marriage” either.
He does think the domestic partnership should be approved so they can visit each other in the hospital - and receive inheritance if their partner dies, but he doesn’t believe in changing the definition of “marriage.”
Actually - he seems fatigued with the whole youth obsessed gay social scene, but you can’t flip a switch and change who you are.
Sad really.
