Young retains US House seat in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) After the toughest fight of his long political career, Alaska voters have returned Republican incumbent Don Young to the U.S. House for his 19th term.
Young, 75, defied pre-election pundits by surviving a strong challenge from Democrat Ethan Berkowitz. Young was returned to office despite being under investigation and linked to an ongoing corruption scandal.
The Associated Press declared Young the winner Wednesday, with Young getting 50 percent of the vote compared with Berkowitz's 45 percent.

Amazing, but apparantly true. I had no idea. I am always in awe at the power of our Lord’s forgiveness when one seeks that divine gift and begs God to heal his heart and judge his soul.
Me,too. Glad he got ahold of me!
The AP is tad late I called him the winner 2 frigging weeks ago when he won. His race was never close enough to call into question.
I’d much rather Ted Stevens had won and been expelled and Young lost and the rat defeated by a Palin Republican in 2010.
Instead it’s 6 years of a rat senator and Young (old) is still there. Stupid voters.
Doesn’t look good for Uncle Ted.
That's for sure. So next election cycle, after Young's had more time, done more damage, the Alaskans will vote big for the leftie dem, leaving them all the more bereft.
More of the legacy of Sarah. I hoped and prayed that the cry for mercy for America was louder than the cry for change. We were outvoted in the cry department.
Imagine how ripe the field to plow for a corruption buster like Sarah. No wonder they are so afraid of her.
