"She wants to rehabilitate her image and get everyone to love her again," says Larry Persily, a former Palin aide. "If I were advising her, say it once and then stop. You protest too much. You start to look a little foolish."

No surprise that Larry is a former aide. What a buffon... Those who love Palin never stopped doing so.

The msm is losing it’s mind. They want the ratings her appearance brings and they hate her with a passion and wish her ill.

She is doing just fine without your sage advice, Larry.

During the campaign, Biden was largely hidden from the media, but the media never commented on that.
During the campaign, Palin made herself accessible to the media, but they pretended she did not.
Now that it's over, Palin is still accessible to the media, and they are complaining of her over-exposure.

But it's not like they're out to get her ...

They’re terrified of her, and the attacks won’t stop. They don’t dare let up. What happens if she unifies the country against Hussein et. al? (Which will come about as soon as the great one starts pushing his agenda.)

The MSM trashed Palin in order to get their boy elected. They succeeded in that effort. Now, Palin is counting on them taking their eye off the ball, so she can rehabilitate her image while they are off concentrating on other things.

If she wants a future in national politics, she has to re-define herself. Otherwise, the “Caribou Barbie” label will stick, and she will have about as much of a future as Dan Quayle. The time to do that is now. The way to do it is to do just what she is doing now. She needs to answer her critics, point for point, and call them jerks when they are being jerks, and call them liars when they are telling lies. The time to do that is right now, while national attention is still focused in her direction. Nobody cared what Dan Quayle had to say about anything in 1993. It was already too late for him.

Right now, folks are interested in affixing blame for the GOP loss. If Palin sat back passively, the blame would naturally fall to her, and she would be irretrievably cast as the lightweight airhead who cost John McCain the election and the right wing of the GOP would be cast as the ideological dead-enders that kept McCain from winning the election by grabbing the crucial middle. That is a story that practically writes itself. The MSM is, first and formost, ideological. But a close second in their list of traits is that they are lazy. They love stories that write themselves. Palin needs to stand in the way and make sure that this particular story cannot write itself.

Palin is fighting for her future and for the future of the right wing of the GOP. It is a fight we need her to win.

I always thought it was classless of the Mondale people when they blamed Geraldine Ferraro for their 49 state loss in 1984. The McCain goofballs are showing themselves to be just as classless.

John, The Maverick My A$$, was perfectly capable of losing big without any help from Sarah.

Gov. Palin is the only reason I wasted my time and went out to cast my vote.

REMINDER: Go out and apply for every government handout that's available. It's our patriotic duty to overload the system. Bring the parasites and their enablers to their knees.

Politico's Allen says of the whack-job quote: "I found it illuminating because it came from an extremely senior McCain person, clearly reflecting the views of others in the inner circle. I would not have used it from the peanut gallery, internal or external."

Well, it was either Schmitt or Davis, or even McCain himself, who was backstabbing her, so they need to become persona non grata fast.

I also am one of the people who thinks that Governor Palin absolutely needs to get out there and show folks that she is not afraid of the press and to defend herself against the McCain backstabbers. Otherwise, the accusations will stick and damage her in later campaigns.

I've been amazed at the attitudes from some quarters, on Conservative Talk Radio and even here on this board, that she should just shut up and slink back to Alaska like the loser she is.

Will someone please tell me how we're supposed to get our Conservative act together if the lone Conservative on the ticket "shuts up," meekly goes home, and leaves us with absolutely no one to rally around?

O.K., she's a rockstar to many of us, but that is exactly what we need right now, our own rockstar, or else we're stuck with the left's rockstars, like Obama.

Yes, because we've seen how well that works when it comes to Bush and Iraq, how he begged the governor of LA to let the feds take over before Katrina, McCain and Ayers... Oh, yes, sir, just say it once and then let the media control the story, ALWAYS works!

From the Washedup Post:

“In fact, no mainstream outlet published the Internet rumors until the McCain campaign issued a statement, during the GOP convention, that Palin’s teenage daughter Bristol was pregnant.”

This simply is not true. If available go to the transcripts of Morning Joe the day of the announcement and you’ll hear Mika’s comments about how mainstream media people (”big time reporters”) were emailing her and were ecstatic about the rumors and she and others mention and direct people to the Daily Kos article. The news was out long before we found out that Bristol was pregnant.

When in history has the non-elected VP gotten more media coverage then the elected VP?

Where the heck is Joe?

Doesn't the media want to know?

This may seem a small thing but it impressed me. Sarah carried on very articulate interviews with Greta and with Lauer, no uhs or ahs, complete grammatical sentences which made sense and were responsive. And all the time, she was preparing lunch, mixing baby formula, soothing Piper - all nonstop, multitasking at its best.

I have never wavered in my admiration for Sarah Palin, and I have a mental lizard-list. On it are all the liberal jerks and rino fools who have attached her. She is now a national presence, and she is not going to go away.

Americans need to learn an excruciatingly bitter lesson. No need to elaborate here on the reasons why. Let's hope it is learned within the next couple years; then we set the stage for Sarah in 2012.

She will do her part with her flawless stewardship of Alaska.

In the meantime, Republicans need to start demanding that Biden have an MRI of the brain (which we should have done emphatically during the election, especially after the Roosevelt on TV gaffe). I'm convinced it will be abnormal.

The article said — “She wants to rehabilitate her image and get everyone to love her again,” says Larry Persily, a former Palin aide. “If I were advising her, say it once and then stop. You protest too much. You start to look a little foolish.”

That’s a totally stupid and ridiculous comment and assessment. The reason why is that it’s the *news people* that keep asking the same questions — not that Sarah Palin keeps bringing it up hereself. Each interview she is on, they ask the same questions over and over again. It has nothing to do with Sarah Palin “protesting too much”.

This is more of the *totally weird* MSM-mentality at work here, to so that about Sarah Palin.

What a bunch of jerks in the media, too...

Sarah Barracuda is coming out here!

She knows that you have to strike while the iron is hot!

I think she has better political instincts than most all who surrounded her in the campaign. Reagan in his day went against his advisors because he felt it was the right thing to do. Sarah Palin is setting herself up for 2012 and those who might go against her are going to eat her dust as she rumbles by them.
