Gore Says NO to 'Climate Czar' Role
The Washngton Times ^ | 11/13/2008 | Tom LoBianco

President-elect Barack Obama's transition team is flirting with creating a White House "Climate Czar," but climate change crusader Al Gore says he doesn't want the job.

The Obama team declined to comment on such a post, even as environmentalists and power industry executives say it's being widely discussed inside the transition offices as a way to spur a clean energy industry, which Mr. Obama has promised will ween the U.S. from foreign oil and create millions of "green jobs."

Obama transition chief John Podesta promoted a similar idea earlier in his role as president of the Center for American Progress, a liberal Washington think tank.

Mr. Podesta authored a white paper calling for an Energy Security Council within the White House to oversee climate change and clean energy initiatives. The czar and the council would coordinate agencies, including the Energy and Interior departments and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Good point.

When he was VP, he did little, if anything, for the environment. Many of his actions actually imply he has no interest and/or understanding of the problems - as revealed by the food served during the wedding of his daughter Sara Lee, his private jet, etc.

Don't let the Washington Times pull a fast one on anybody. Note how the politically correct term "global warming" has now "evolved," as Democrats say, into the term "climate change."

Despite the politically correct rants of misguided global warming alarmists like Al Gore over the past several years, consider the following. Since the oceans cover more than half the earth's surface, oceans are regarded as a major indicator of global warming. But since the global warming mafia is evidently at a loss to explain why the Argo System oceanic temperature probes have actually shown a slight decrease in ocean temperatures over the last several years, instead of apologizing to the public for their false alarm, global warming alarmists have slickly morphed "global warming" into "climate change." Consider the following links about decreased ocean temperatures and the Argo System.

Let us hope that the ship does indeed go down.

It is hard to think of more Ci-cago style corruption than the czarizing of global warming will inspire. Can you imagine the opportunities for kickbacks for the ci cago gang if everybody has to please the global warming czar?

Even Albore knows that it is way more profitable to cheer the moonbats on from the sidelines, and let them take the heat when the public objects to what they do in his name. He likes being St. Al, doesn’t want to have to get his hands dirty.

Why would Al refuse? Pay cut? Or, is the title of 'Czar' simply not powerful enough for the delusional, energy hogging hypocrite?

It's probably more to do with the realization that, rather than being the "climate czar", his real duties would be more in the realm of "climate liar-in-chief".

Al Gore knows he would be asked the simple question — Can you prove that man is causing global warming? Pop goes his head, and all of his oinvestments.

He simply cannot get that level of exposure, who knows who would be able to ask “the question” in a press conference.

Pay more in taxes so government can pretend to control the weather. Of course, government scientists will report on what we need to do, and how we are progressing.

Anyone spot the obvious problem?
