Is there some way to verify if (808) 949-2317 (from the Selective Service form) was his grandmother's phone number in 1980?

I don't know about verifying it, other than trying the main libarary in Honolulu for old phone books. But my mother has the same phone number we had when I first learned my phone number, carrying it through our 1959 move to the house she still lives in. The only change, was the way it is written, it used to be IN6-DDDD (IN stood for INgersol, IIRC) now it's 466-DDDD, but those require the same button pushes or dial turns (yes, Mom still has a rotary phone, although she also has a wireless base station with 3 remotes, although she broke the charger/stand of one of them)
