CHICAGO (Reuters) - Sen. Hillary Clinton emerged on Thursday as a candidate to be U.S. secretary of state for Barack Obama, months after he defeated her in an intense contest for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Putting Clinton, wife of former President Bill Clinton, in the position could help heal whatever lingering divisions remain in the Democratic Party after her bitter battle with Obama. ...

She would have to be crazy to take this job.

In the Senate, her seat is secure. In the Cabinet, she serves at the discretion of Obama.

The perfect Obama move would be to get her to resign from the Senate, get her replaced with a new representative, and then FIRE HER for her first misstep.

Shrillary is still the biggest threat to the Obamanator. His best idea is to get her on the road dancing with dictators.

Secretary of State? You got to be kidding!. Same Job as Condalissa Rice? She will be out thar screwing up the foriegn
relations everywhere she goes. I got to question this move, because something here does not add up to 2+2, and it don’t come out to 4.

Exactly, Paradox. Since the mid 19th century, SOS has been a graveyard for presidential ambitions. Look what it did to Powell and Rice (thank God!).

Bomba is fulfilling his promise made to the homosexual and transgendered communities.

He stated, unequivocally, that high-level posts in the new administration would be filled these gentle folk.

(Those who practice bestiality and incest shouldn't worry. Some posts will go to those gentle folk.)

Better there than on the Supreme Court, which I don’t believe she has the temperment for, anyway.

But the Supreme Court appointment might be a big win for Obama, regardless of whom she might replace. Recognizing the possibility of having to deal with Hillary Clinton for, say, thirty years, the other eight justices would immediately resign, giving Obama the opportunity to fill the rest of the court.
