SCOTUS has given Obama's legal team until Dec 1, 2008 to respond to the motion, and not to produce the birth certificate. Different thing altogether...

The Oboma teams response will give SCOTUS a clue about what's really going on. If they feel the Oboma team is trying to deceive them, or the American people, they won't like it. It's "disrespectful".

*THAT* is a true statement. If they *do* try to jerk SCOTUS around then all bets are off, and SCOTUS likely would demand to see his birth certificate.

My point was that the December 1st demand wasn't to see the birth certificate, but to respond to the motion. Those were two separate issues, and still are, at this time. Whether the become co-joined, or not, largely depends on Obama's legal team...

“The Oboma teams response will give SCOTUS a clue about what’s really going on. If they feel the Oboma team is trying to deceive them, or the American people, they won’t like it. It’s “disrespectful”.”

They’ll do exactly what they did before - wait for the last minute and then call for the suit to be dismissed on the basis of lack of standing etc. etc., without ever even mentioning the substance of it.
