I had never heard those before, but they are great ideas. I guess my kids will think I’m nuts now. ;0)

More ways to save:
1. Go to work naked as much as possible.
2. Check your neighborhood for kittens. They are delicious rolled in corn meal and deep fried.
3. Reuse toilet paper when possible.
4. Mug a stranger. Take his stuff.
5. Dry Skin? Use old bacon grease. Great for your skin and your dog will love you for it.
6. Have your wife not shave her legs. Saves money on socks, and birth control.

(EVIL TRUMPHS WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING)
If you have kids or family members that can’t manage to turn off lights, install motion sensor light switches. There are some that can be plugged into wall sockets for lamps or LED rope lights.
Combining a motion sensing wall socket switch with rope LED lights can light basement stairways and dark hall ways. It is nice keeping your hands free to carry items instead of carrying stuff AND searching for the light switch. Great for on demand night light for trips to the bathroom.
Be warned. If you have cats, they will defeat the energy savings by turning them on all night running through the house.
