You can't seriously say that McCain means failure and that some other candidate could have won after that financial mess came to light back in October.

That conflates two different things.

Regarding the first part, yes McCain was a failure and that was easily predictable, pointing up the need to avoid candidates like McCain in the future.

Regarding the second part, obviously the economic implosion hobbled Republican candidates because the explanation of how liberal economic tribalism led to the problems was put forth too tepidly.

That assertion lacks details and is inaccurate.

Pawlenty is like Ned Flanders, only more of a wimp. Does he seriously think that beat the 0ne, his media and his army of 0bamatons?

There is only one person who has the charisma, the personal story, the vision, the undefineable “it” factor, who is capable of leading the charge against 0bama-and we all know HER name.

"Pawlenty talked his way right out of the Republican party yesterday."

His letting Franken get away with stealing the election (certified twice) of Norm Coleman is also not in the category of a Sarah Palin - Bobby Jindal model either.

If so-called RINOs are “kicked out” of the party...wait, you can’t kick anyone out of a party, people can register for any party they please, and vote however they please. They can also register to run as candidates in whichever party they please. The entire premise of removing those who are not conservative enough is ludicrous. We don’t run parties in America they way totalitarian systems run parties. In America we have freedom of association.

But let’s assume we could purge moderates or RINOs from the party. We now have a party that consists of perhaps 30% of the electorate. Which means we need converts in order to have any political power or to elect national candidates. Where do we search for converts? Among flaming liberals? Not likely. Among independents? Yes, we can add maybe 10% additional to the electorate there. Among RINOs? That’s our most likely source of additional votes, among those we just kicked out. I mean, they are closer to us than the rest of the electorate, and so should be the easiest to bring around. Hmmmm.

You get it. This is not emotion—it’s realism. We absolutely need every RINO we can get. I’m willing to use them to get what I want.

That’s really sad to see how Minnesota is even playing around with a joke like Franken as a candidate. Like Caligula when he installed his favorite horse in the Senate.. farcical.

btw,, How many stops did McCain make for local candidates or how close did he let them get while on the road?

aRnie pretty much cherry picked few and ignored the rest,
moderates are all about me,, I’m special.. I don’t see Sarah being all about Sarah.. maybe it is just me

Limited government, local control and the protection of the integrity of private property rights is another.

For social issues we could support leadership and capacity building in communities so they can help solve some of their own problems rather than rely on big government programs.

I don’t want to kick them all out of the party. I welcome their support. However, I do not want them in the leadership of the party where they can set the agenda.

“Hillary?

Did you seriously think I meant Hillary? To remove all doubt I was referring of course to Sarah Palin.

Tim, Tim Tim, you are from the land of Franken and you will not be our one.
Go Saracuda, a real Republican Conservative.
Say say no to RINO turds. Enough is enough.
If we lose, let’s lose as conservatives, not f-ing RINO appeasers.
