Other than the Roman Catholic Church, no major denomination supported Prop. 8 other than the Mormons. Mormonism is not popular with non-Mormons--and is not regarded as Christian by Christian theologians....hence, dumping on Mormonism (instead of Roman Catholicism) is an easy, coward's target...
