The march to protest Proposition 8 is continuing to wind its way downtown, and marchers got louder as they passed a cluster of three people holding "Yes on 8" signs.
One of those holding the signs, David Cruz, said he wanted to remind marchers that the majority of voters have spoken by the passage of Prop. 8 in the Nov. 4 election. "They are not going to overturn the will of the majority,"said Cruz, 34, a College Area resident.
Just then, marcher David Gonzales pushed toward Cruz, screaming that he was a disgrace. March volunteers kept them separated and Gonzales moved on.
"He looks like he's Hispanic, like me," said Gonzales, 45, a La Jolla resident. "A lot of voters of my ethnicity voted for this. They don't realize this is about civil rights."

Its all about the Race Card TM, stupid. The Proposition 8 supporter basely betrayed La Raza!
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
It IS about the race card. Blacks voted overwhelmingly for P8. Hispanics voted the same way. The Koreans that I knew of in Koreatown said no “real” Korean would vote no because in their culuture it’s known as an abomination. The Filipinos I know who voted Obama said Yes to P8. The Punjabis/Indians I know hate homosexuality.
Can’t these militant queers add one and one together?
No, it's not about civil rights, you idiot. It about legal recognition of same sex marriage and most people are against it. So go home, have a Koolaid, and thank you're lucky stars you're in a country that would even consider putting it on the ballot.
Yes, but only of their own gender...
Too true. Still these pathetic perverts protest the U.S.
Go see how your little homosexual agenda is accepted in say Ulan Bator, Or Saudi Arabia or right here.
Exactly. There are far too many people who equate civil rights with imposing the will of a minority on the majority. They need to do a little more research on the subject.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Cruz was the one holding the “Yes on Prop 8” sign, right ???
And Gonzales was the one who thought he was at a Si Su Puede march for illegal aliens demanding “civil rights” and acted accordingly..
A program is needed at these rallies...
Not for the onlookers...
But the participants...
He should have reminded him that they were not alike and told him that he wasnt the pervert.
“He looks like he’s Hispanic, like me,” said Gonzales, 45, a La Jolla resident. “A lot of voters of my ethnicity voted for this. They don’t realize this is about civil rights.”

He reminds me of that illegal alien woman who complained last year...
“We have marched, WE HAVE EVEN VOTED...but we dont have amnesty yet...”
Hello...
Okay, that does it, I’m filing a class action on behalf of the majority of Americans who are fed up with annoying people lecturing us about their ‘rights’.
You want to see a protest, wait until the Coalition of the Annoyed hits the streets.
Last week 10,000 gays marched, yesterday over 20,000 marched here in San Diego.
To bad conservatives wern’t as active to these numbers.
All of the NO on Prop 8 arguments make the assumption that its discriminatory, when it is not. You can only discriminate against someone based on visual clues, not what goes on in someones head. First the left gets the term GENDER added to civil rights cases when there are only two sexes in the world. Basically they have taken a particular mental illness and classified it as social class, how observed. It makes as much sense to give rights to sexual orientation as it does to Sauerkraut lovers. Besides there is no requirement to prove that one is heterosexual to get married, so how are homosexuals discriminated against?
Society has a right to determine what it will Prohibit, Permit, and Promote. It permits homosexual couplings, but it promotes marriage between a man and woman. In order to survive and grow society needs stable families with two parents, a mother and a father because this is the only coupling that can produce children. It can get along just fine without homosexual behavior.
"He looks like he's Hispanic, like me," said Gonzales, 45, a La Jolla resident. "A lot of voters of my ethnicity voted for this. They don't realize this is about civil rights."It was not about civil rights any more than the Edmunds Act of 1882 was about civil rights.
The Filipinos I know who voted Obama said Yes to P8.About half of the people in the neighborhood I grew up in are Filipino. Prop. 8 won in my old neighborhood's precinct (a precinct that has not voted for a Republican presidential nominee since 1984).
