Homeowners could be forced to sell part of their land so travellers and gypsies can have permanent sites

Homeowners are facing the prospect of being forced to sell their own land to make space for gypsy campsites under orders from the government.

... the Government is launching what has been described as a 'land grab', which could see fields and even private gardens converted into pitches for mobile homes.

One local authority is now warning its residents that their land could be brought under compulsory purchase if they refuse to sell up to make way for hundred of travellers setting up home in their town....

...thousands of landowners could see their property bought at reduced rates.

...They also admitted anyone wanting to build new housing estates in the area may be required to provide areas for traveller campsites.

'As a last resort there may need to be sites on other private land...Any land owner faced with the possibility of compulsory purchase following finalisation of the plan may be well advised to sell because land would be compulsorily purchased at its original land value, plus very limited compensation.'...

Ah....compassion. When will the left realize the third world and assorted scroungers have none?

Whoa, the UK is getting downright open and blatant about their marxism. I suppose the US having elected a socialist government, takes the onus from them, they don’t look as bad by comparison now.

Some have a camera handy when the gypsies try to take part of the Queen’s lands——

Would I rather have my land stolen to be given to gypsies or my future mortgaged to give the proceeds to banks and car companies?

But if they had permanent sites, they wouldn’t be gypsies.

The phrase “permanent sites for gypsies” seems like an oyxmoron to me. Aside from the Stalinist aspects of confiscating private property, it just sounds stupid. Why can’t the gypsies just buy their own parking lots for their “caravans”?

It’s too bad there are no more unclaimed unpopulated liveable territories on this planet, to which we sane people could move, and banish the first person who starts talking about “the greater good” or “redistribution”.

If they have a permanent site, then they would no longer be gypsies?

Piece of cake ... the UK can just stack up the gypsies like they are going to stack up the corpses in the graves from now on.

At one time, "the sun never set on the British Empire". They were convinced of their supeiority to all other nations, and all other forms of government. They were hated by other nations for their arrogance...and because, since they believed in themselves, they were more powerful at sea than any other nation.

America has begun, with this Administration, the long slide into Disunited Kingdom-hood. We have chosen a king, not an Emperor. He is going to lead us, as Kings will, down his own path. He is, alas, not a despot that will rule because at least he is sure of himself and seeks his land's glory; he will lead as a bastard kinglet who is unsure his nation has the right to be great and will settle for making it "fair" (as he sees it.) But the worst of it is, he is at least sure that he is smarter than you...and that you, who cling to God and guns, need to be "re-educated."

I once had a bumper-sticker that said "Barak Obama = John Saxon". I fear that he is going to be more than that. I imagine it is going to be more like "Barak Obama = Delores Umbridge".

Oh, no, they'll continue roaming colorfully and pulling the "your neighbor paid us to blacktop his driveway and we've got all this left" scam. It's just they'll have a horse up on blocks in your front yard.

After 4 years of Obama - I will move!

Don’t they have RV parks and campsites in the UK and how come the gypsies don’t use them if they do?

Ask Brad Pitt what to do about the gypsie problem ... he played a Brit gypsie in a movie some years back. Celebs always have all the answers, doncha know ... Maybe Brangelina will adopt all the gypsies.

Or ... (expanding on my previous suggestion) since the UK bureaucrats have created all that extra space in their graveyards by stacking corpses ... They could use some of that extra space they have freed up in the cemetaries to stack up those extra gypsies ... Gypsies aren’t doing anything anyway, so no one would notice any difference between stacked gypsies and stacked corpses.
