I usually carry around a store bought gallon jug of water with me.That bottle should have a '2' inside the recycle triangle on the bottom of the bottle. According to the Wikipedia article on Bisphenol A, polycarbonates will have a '7' in the triangle.

How about drinking hot coffee out of a Styrofoam cup? Plenty of plastic is leaching into the coffee. I never have and never will drink hot coffee out of Styrofoam
