McCain didn't change, the media's treatment of McCain changed. I don't think Thompson has any attention of running for office again, but there are very few politicians with name recognition that can be counted on to publicly articulate the conservative position on issues, even before polling data is available. Thompson is an excellent debater and does very well when making the rounds of the Sunday Shows etc.
Considering that party chairmen don't normally run for their party's nomination, we could do a lot worse than having someone like Thompson bashing the Dims, while extolling the virtues of Palin, Jindal etc.
In Texas, the primary was over before we had a chance to vote.
I agree, people think they see things clearly, but it just brainwashing,to a certain extent. Thompson would probably do well as RNC chairman. Why do we need younger,I thought babyboomers were the big demographic,no wait,,its illegals now,,and they never marched for republicans. Mccain was chose by the media, just as obama was,we just played the part. The dems will do great harm as the ruling government of America, but they will play their part, corrupt, radical and ill concieved ideas that will turn more voters against them than any republican will ever do. It took the media, academics, unions and dem mafia tactics 20 yrs to get what they want,it will take 4 yrs to get it back, unless they really go to the dark side, then it will take 8 yrs. The problem and solution is,that we don’t get fooled again.
I agree with you!
Yep, I agree. Thompson would be great for the head of the RNC. He has strong conservative principles, and articulates them well. While Fred didn’t run a perfect campaign, I think the near media blackout on all things Fred during the campaign had its effect. Fox wanted Rudy, and when it became apparent that wasn’t going to work, they propped up McCain.
I am pulling for Sarah in ‘12, but Fred would be great as RNC head in the meantime. He’s not one to back down from a fight or to apologize for conservatism. We need somebody tough, not a moderate who wants to “reach across the aisle”.
