Roll Call ^ | 11/18/08 | Anna Palmer

After much speculation that his failed presidential bid would be his last campaign, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has decided to run for re-election to his Senate seat in 2010.

“I hope we never have to see the Maverick again.”

Yep, every time I heard the name “maverick,” it reminded me of how many times he screwed the Republicans.

Greetings rabscuttle385:

Even when President Bush handed Senator McCain a “winning” campaign issue, McCain blew it.

McCain could have “won” by simply mounting his usual opposition to all things President Bush, by fighting the bailout. Instead, McCain supports the bailout.

May God protect our Republic,
OLA

Great graphic.

“McCain must be defeated in 2010 at all costs.”

Lets not go nuts here. I certainly hope the old coot changes his mind, joins the bama cabinet or is primaried by somebody viable but we can’t have 6, 12, 18, 24 years of that disgusting commie dyke voting correctly some 0-10% of the time and voting for rat senate organization. In any legislative race you gotta vote R, 6 more years of that old codger is not worse than the alternative, the GOP is already a pathetic minority in the Senate, don’t dig the hole deeper.

Yeah some lefties are actually better on the bailout(s) than our GOP Presidential nominee was. It would be funny if......

I disagree.

McCain is a loose cannon for GOP conservatives and a willing tool for the liberal element of the Democratic Party. Loose cannons within your own camp are far more dangerous than any external foe.

No, Benedict McCain must be given permanent shore leave before he cuts any more towlines and the conservative ship sinks for good, with a loss of all hands aboard.

Sorry McCain troll, I’d rather have a Democrat in his seat at this point. It’s not worth keeping scum like McCain around. He’s done enough damage to our party.

Yes, it is. Democrats are easier to defeat once they inevitably expose themselves. McCain on the other hand has continued neo-con support from the Republican establishment and Fox News.

The whole “the alternative is worse” thing was thrown out the window the moment McCain was crushed in the election. It’s time to fix the party. We can’t do that with garbage like McCain hanging around.

Nonsense. He wasn't foisted on us by liberals. He beat every other Republican candidate. Even with the disadvantages, he still did remarkably well against Obama. He won't run for President again, but he did bring us Palin, who is going to be one of our shining stars. Think of Goldwater in 1964 leading to Reagan.

How is he a Democrat? Is his voting record that left? No.

“Yes, it is. Democrats are easier to defeat once they inevitably expose themselves. “

Au contraire, incumbent democrats are extremely difficult to defeat.

McPain is nothing now but a tired old hack ,he’s done his damage. Like I said I fervently hope the bastard isn’t renominated but to hope he goes down to that disgusting marxist dyke uh-uh, giving the rats another Senate seat for 6 long years or 30 if the b1tch gets entrenched as rat senators tend to do, uh-uh, that kind of reasoning is just as sure a path to a permanent minority as handing over the leadership of the GOP to people like John McCain. Nothing good will or even can happen in Washington (and terrible *hit is very likely to happen) with 58/60/70 marxist pig socialist labor senators. This is bigger than John McPain.

I just don’t buy it anymore. McCain practically endorsed Obama while running “against” him. I see no difference between McCain and a Democrat except McCain has the support of both parties. That makes him far more dangerous than a Democrat, especially a junior one, could ever be.

“He wasn’t foisted on us by liberals.”

Well the conservatives sure didn’t vote for him. Who do think did vote for him? A bunch of fricking RINOs, which is just short of a liberal.
