CHICAGO – Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has engaged three prominent lawyers to help President-elect Barack Obama vet her candidacy for secretary of state even as some insiders criticized the pick and advisers to the former first lady said she was weighing whether to take the job if Obama offered it.

I wonder if they’d do us a favor and “vet” Hussein Obama while they’re at it.

I wouldn’t think that Clinton being Secretary of State would help her future presidential ambitions. I thought that since Obama didn’t pass his commander in chief test, that he will be a failure, and she doesn’t want to be identified with a failure. She may not have a better image in 8 years, having been Obama’s Secretary of State, assuming she tries to run for president in 2016. If the public reacts badly to Obama’s presidency, the Democrat brand could be damaged in the future, just as the perceived failures of Bush and Republicans have made this election cycle tough for Republicans in general.

The Obamanation is above all that. You can’t expect him to to be treated like a mere mortal.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has engaged three prominent lawyers to help President-elect Barack Obama vet her candidacy for secretary of state....

What's wrong with this sentence? I'd like to pick who will interview me for my next job. WTF? Hillary's completed Obamapplication would make for an awesome tragic-comedy!

Certainly she's qualified. She's been the WIFE of an important man, and she's been a senator for a few years.

That makes her eminently qualified for freaking SECRETARY OF STATE of the UNITED STATES.

Geez, where's my wine bottle? We're living in Oz.

Can you imagine if Hitlery became SoS?

In one New York second, the Bill and Hillery show would wrest international affairs out of Zer0’s hands, and they would become the only voices on the stage.

Unbeleivable that Zer0 could be so stupid. He’d best not play any B-Ball near Ft Marcy park!

I think Hill should take this if offered. It’s probably her last chance at doing anything meaningful with her life. Though she’ll wank this up as she has everything else.

I find this funny...a solemn and serious inquiry into Hillary’s life looking for scandals.

Isn’t that like someone making a solemn and serious investigation as to, say...whether or not Madonna is a virgin, whether Joan Rivers has had some work done or whether Helen Thomas was around while cavemen were discovering fire?

Here’s an interesting nugget about Madeline Albright:

Not being a natural born citizen of the United States, she was not eligible as Presidential Successor and was excluded from nuclear contingency plans.

This is a set-up. Nobody given this job of Secy of State will be able to defuse the Israeli/Iranian conflict about to happen. This way, Obama can say he gave Hillary a chance in the big leagues, and she blew it.

If I were Hillary, no way would I give up my Senate seat, the seat of Jacob Javits and David Patrick Moynihan(sp). She’s an idiot if she gives up that seat in the Senate.

Barry is about to make the biggest mistake of his presidency right at the starting gate. What a fool.

Before he knows it, he’ll be in the basement of the White House.

Lawyers: From the law firm of Cheatem, Foolem and Screwem.

I thought Obama was president, but I could be wrong.

Yep, Hillary won the election by being a stealth candidate. She and Bill were teflon-coated politicians for years, making John Gotti envious beyond belief, despite all the mob money he and LIUNA gave them.

Will wonders never cease?

.....assuming she tries to run for president in 2016.

Im thinking that Obama will not take Biden for his VP in his second term. He is going to pick somebody to continue with his legacy and that person will be the front runner for the Dems, NOT Hillary.

During the campaign, she said she’d already been vetted. So, why does she need to do this?

If Hillary gets the Secstate nomination, Obama won't get a second term. She'll make sure of it.

“”Unbeleivable that Zer0 could be so stupid.””

Many are calling it a brilliant move on his part - locking them in as far as obligatory allegiance, removing her possible challenges to him, especially on domestic issues, in the Senate, and virtually killing her chances for running for prez in ‘12, being sec. of state - historically, secs of state haven’t run against an incumbent pres. or certainly not been successful at it. No, it’s Hillary who’d be the fool to accept this position.
