The clerk was an elderly gentleman that said he's never seen the like of people buying ammunition. Said one guy came in and bought over $600 worth of ammo. "It's almost like everyone is afraid of something but they're not sure of what it is".
I told him it's because we are in a transition from once being known as the United States of America to officially being an Obamanation.
Chaos is sure to come and everyone senses it.
Saw where permit applications spiked before the election, but I cannot find the article now.
Think even the demonrats are buying.
Just today I received my CHL paperwork. Class scheduled for early Jan.
Classes booked up fast recently.
I'm doing the same thing.
I'm also looking at buying some of the Wolf "spam cans" of .45 ACP and 9mm.
It should keep nicely, and my Glocks will digest it without a problem.
You are correct of course, observations only. It will be interesting to see what actual sales are for the months of Nov and Dec. More anecdotal evidence this weekend in Reno, Nv - there is a three day gun show. I find it amazing that in a shaky economy people are not hesitating to plunk down $600 for a handgun.
Better hurry or you’re just going to have to be packin’ like all the rest of gangbangers. ;)
The Merchandise Mart, where the show is located, is a large facility. It used to be you could just walk right in. This time, the line to get in was all the way down the side of the block and half way around the other. Inside, the place was so packed it was hard to walk around.
The worst part is there was no .357 mag ammo to be had. I was told it was all sold out in the first hour and a half of the show's opening.
