I’ve always thought this thing about tossing evidence is just wrong. If someone has the drugs, they have the drugs. There’s got to be another way to keep cops from searching illegally.

There is. Prosecute the cop for searching illegally. Throw him/her in prison. But since that will never happen, we need the exclusionary rule.

Oh I forgot...these are cops we're talking about.
