How much extra should be charged for a wheelchair? Handicapped folks are in a protected class, but overweight people are not. There is the difference. Laws like this will encourage people to be overweight, even reward them for being so. This isn't good for anyone in the long run.
My little brother is a big guy 400 plus. when he was a little guy back in the late 60’s he had his tonsils removed. It took 9 hours to get his adenoids out. It was a sign of things to come. After high school he shot up to 6’ 7”. I'm just a runt now at 6’ 2”. It was just the luck of the draw.
