I went through two iMacs in a little over two years. I will never buy another.

As for the DoD I think they should switch to Linux.

Or VMS.

It’s unhackable and obscure. The US Government already uses it for highly sensitive weapons systems on airplanes and subs.

Too many people all over the world know too much about Linux for it to be a serious candidate for highly sensitive, high security application.

Also, running applications on virtual machines might provide another layer of security.

We were pretty secure using OpenVMS on DEC Alpha Servers. Mainly because there just weren't too many folks out there trying to hack into that system!
