Yeah ok. If you think this will have any affect on Palin’s future political ambitions (if she even HAS any - we don’t even know), I think you’re fooling yourself.
What in the world would make anyone think she was caught by surprise? She'd have to be frighteningly dull, I mean Biden-dull to not be aware of her surroundings here. That obviously isn't the case at all. Talk about the 'soft bigotry of low expectations'. On this forum of all places. Maybe we could shake off the political correctness and get out more, check out some agriculture or something.

I’m not that suprised. I remember people here saying it was all over when she supposedly said abortion clinic bombers weren’t terrorsts. I don’t think that ever even became a story.

Actually I think you are entertaining enough to take my mind off the acid reflux that woke me up. Geez, get a life, and while you are at it a little thicker skin. If you actually had an arguement that was not blantantly transparent it would be woth it to stay up and continue this.
Couple of points...
First, I thought it was HILARIOUS and truly authentic!! She is such a regular person they can’t stand it!! As mentioned above, this was a local affiliate. I bet PMSNBC will permanently be camped out in AK for the next 4 years building a library of this stuff to embarrass her. Come on, geeeeeez, she is a regular person and she is the governor of a state where most if not all people hunt. She hunts. Her family hunts... it’s no secret!! How many politicians would even have the stomach to stand there???
I showed it to my wife and she said she should have better PR and not get “caught” in these situations. I doubt she even had PR with her nor even cared (dufus Shuster at the end that they contacted the local affiliate and their response was “no worries”. Exactly!!!)
With the way the dumbed down electorate is (and the recent Zogby poll to prove it), you won’t see this on any serious news show but only on PMSNBC and John Stewart, where most of these idiots “get their news”. In the end I doubt it will have much of a shelf life anyway. Sarah should just continue being herself in AK while boning up on the issues and shock these idiots when she returns to the national stage.
In the end, even if she never makes it b/c of this kind of crap, she is still my favorite politician ever...
Did you actually listen to her speak?? She said “I know I will prob. be criticized for doing this and looked at the slaughterhouse - she smiled and continued on - why??? Because isn’t the typical arrogant out of touch politician that thinks they $hit doesn’t stink - that is what has been killing us - the govt. has failed us. We need more real people and quite frankly she is basically saying “I don’t care what you think of me - I am who I am.” That’s what great about her and this - They used to criticize Reagan for eating macaroni n’ cheese too!
It may not be this one particular incident, but the media will have years to build up a case against her to feed to a voting public that just elected someone who’s entire platform and campaign strategy consisted of a single word. This is just another weapon in their arsenal now, and it was totally avoidable.
Because this really shouldn’t be a ‘cheap shot’. They actually have to frame it all out of context to attack her and even then it’s stupid.
They did show the turkey in the cone at the end, it was a different shot though!

Ok, well that goes for anyone. This Palin thing is a total nothing. It’s fodder for bottom feeders at DailyKos and that’s about it.
She isn’t going to fade into “Bolivian” (as Mike Tyson would say).
She didn't say abortion clinic bombers weren't terrorists, supposedly or otherwise. I saw that. I saw the media try to trip her up on that question. She stopped for a second to think about what they were asking before she answered. She never said they weren't terrorists.
I hope you’re right, but things are different today. True, the media doesn’t have a monopoly on delivering the “news” anymore, but so many more people today have been so dumbed down to the point where they have no qualms voting for a terrorist sympathizer that has followed blatantly marxist principles for his entire life. In many respects she has even more to overcome if she wants to become president, because I don’t think anyone can argue that a majority of voters in this country today are plain idiots.

I meant to mention this as well in my last post. To the local Alaska affiliate, they acted like it was totally NORMAL. Like maybe most Americans might think?? Not the MSM...
I think she would cheerfully have given an interview while she was slaughtering the turkeys herself, up to her elbows in blood. Would be instructive to the Dems to see what they are going to get in 4 years.
