The time to look at those was before the election. Prices are way up.
‘Unintended Consequences’ by John Ross is a long but good read.
OOPS! 6.45X39 should have been 5.45x39......TYPO ALERT!
We can dream.
*** Ive seen a grandma with a .22LR pistol that could decide which eyeball she wanted to take out at 10 meters .... its quite scary to watch her actually.***
I’m not a grandma yet, but of that age.
After seeing my target (with very little left of his head) asked why I now only practice head shots.
I answered, “the people that come after us may be wearing vests.”
I think the definition is over here with
“Social Justice”
Funny, but sadly true.
I didn’t say that the 2nd Amendment was specifically about defending the rights of gun ownership as oposed to any other fundamental right.
My point was that the amendment is not about hunting which is how opponents often portray it (”Ok we understand some of you dumb hicks like hunting so we will allow you reasonable hunting weapons but nothing other than that, fair enough?”).
The 2nd Amendment is a general declaration that to prevent anyone trying to take away freedom and security (it doesn’t say who that ‘anyone’ might be, it could be a foreign army, a group of bandits or even the government of the United States) then citizens must have the right to bear arms to defend their freedom and security.
The 2nd Amendment has Sweet Fanny Adams to do with hunting, it has everything to do with the defence of liberty, the right of free citizens to defend themselves from government oppression, President elect Obama seems to be unaware of this basic fact.
“”Barack Obama recognizes that firearm ownership is a rich tradition in American life,” spokesman Reid Cherlin said in a telephone interview this week. “Obama believes the Second Amendment creates an individual right, and he respects the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms. He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, and transport, and use guns, and he will support the right of communities to enact common-sense gun safety laws.” “
hahahahahehehehehehohohohohahaha!
What a liar! So, this is how Obama wants to play propaganda! First, he’ll put out a false message of support, then smack us with anti-firearm laws, then claim he was always been for firearms and will reference this false statement as proof.
If she can't operate the slide, then recoil will be a big problem for her. One possible solution would be a revolver in .327 magnum. If the .327 has too much kick, she could fire .32 H&R magnums or even .32 S&W Long in it.
The very same thing happened to my 629, then my stainless Ruger Ranch. I no longer by stainless steel firearms.

Umm, um. My kind of woman
That’s been my thinking for years now. Tap, tap then one to the center mass.
Buy primers, powder and bullet molds. Lead can be pried from the tires of cars with Obama bumperstickers. They won't mind...it's in the interest of sacrifice and sharing.
To some extent that's true. There are exceptions, though, such as the hyped-up attacker who can take several low-caliber rounds and still function enough to kill...only to die soon thereafter. That latter part might be good for society, but doesn't help the victim any.
As a general rule, women listen, men dont
That's what I found as an instructor, also...not just for calibers, but for other topics of instruction. And, generally, the women became very good shots faster than the men as a result.
The factors that come into play are numerous, including intimidation factor. While some would argue that a .22 muzzle isn't as intimidating, if the person holding it feels a lot more confident than if she were holding a .44 Mag that she's afraid of, it could be. Still, unless the person can't handle it, I'd not go below .380ACP.
I think most folks would tend to FREAK OUT if shot, no matter what the caliber of the gun.
I carry a CZ75B...it is similar to a BHP, but easier to find (and, I think, cheaper). My wife also handles it fine. In our tactical pistol classes, I tend to carry what is sometimes called “Condition 3” (or “IDF style”). It is, in the large city environment in which we live, a safer approach. But you do have to know how to rack the slide one-handed (in case the other hand is occupied, say, fending off a knife). It is actually pretty easy to rack it on your strong-side belt.
Don't waste time talking to me! Get out there and get your stuff while you still can!
