There are two Islamic nations in the world who have never known freedom who know it today with upwards of 60 million people free. The implications in that part of the world are mind boggling and good for western republics and freedom for the next several generations and more if we take advantage of it.
His supreme court picks have been good at a critical juncture.
Most of his presidency, outside of the last few months where he faced serious issues in housing and on Wall Street not of his making, and stymied by the democrats in congress to do anything about it...were unbelievably good economically with low, low interest, low, low unemployment, and growth.
For anyone taking an objective look, and despite the rabid rantings of the liberals and democrats, and the running and hiding of RINOs in the GOP, it is not hard to assess Bush in the least...and that assessment, IMHO, historically will be very good overall.
This does not mean he did not make mistakes...campaign finance, social spending, immigration, etc.
But when comared to what is coming, those mistakes will pale in comparison, and the good he did will also be erased by bad policies as bad, if not worse, than the Carter years which gave rise to the misery index for all Americans.
I truly believe that a day will come when we will all wish that we had George W. Bush back in office...
here in the country we are seeing Government controlling our hunting season and the wild critter have more RIGHTS than humans...and one wonders how our founding fathers survived with out Government controlling....
I fear for the future of my adult children and grandchildren..
